Are you an ex-smoker?

Quit 37 years ago but xrays reveal there is damage. Why wouldn't there be. That's why now 2nd hand smoke is to be avoided. Good luck!!
I, too, smoked for about 30+ years. Shortly after I quit, I developed bladder cancer. It was a type of cancer that occurs when you quit. You can't even quit without the consequences.

So sorry to hear; hopefully you're good now and enjoying Camelback in Tannersville. Rick

I smoked menthol100's for20+ years. I do think it has contributed to health problems for me. I do vape nicotine flavored e-cigarettes'. 6%.

I am a proud life long non-smoker. My younger brother, who passed away 2 years ago, smoked for years. He finally gave it up. But years later he developed breathing problems, which affected his sleeping at night. Even after you give up that god awful smelly habit, years later down the road, you will pay for it.

I quit in 2011, after over 46 years of smoking. Never had any replapses or urges.
Well done you, You quit after 46 years, a great achievement, I'm not mocking. There was a documentary film that I saw on TV about tobacco and cigarette production. Just to make sure that smoking is addictive, the tobacco companies have the tobacco sprayed with, at least, twenty or so, addictive chemicals. No wonder it's so difficult to quit.

My own tobacco habit started at college when I was eighteen, it ended when I got married at twenty-two, to a non-smoker. How lucky was I? Sad to say that I have seen too many friends and work colleagues leave this world far too early because of that awful weed. It grieves me to see youngsters indulging in the nicotine infusion habit, but what can you do? It's their choice, the dangers are well documented.

I quit in 2010.I had been pretty sick and was hospitalized for a few weeks, didn't see the point of starting again.I have a "flash" CT scan every January.
I guess health insurance pays 1x a year until you're 15 years smoke free.
My husband died in 2006,lung cancer had metastisized to his brain before it was discovered,he was a heavy smoker from age 15!
