Are you lovable?

Are you lovable? What makes you lovable? How do you know that you are lovable?

I am definitely lovable. Animals adore me. They really do. Even the backyard racoons, skunks and squirrels lose their natural nervousness when I'm around. I can feed squirrels walnuts up close and personal and they wait patiently, but don't scurry away. Sometimes I prepare them more elaborate treats like popcorn cakes smeared with peanut butter.
Cats can't wait to jump into my lap and start purring while I stroke their furry heads and forpaws. Dogs love me the most. I meet so many while out walking or at yard sales. Sometimes the dog wants to leave it's owner and come home with me in my car and struggles against the leash as the owner holds them back.
I've had neighbors pets follow me on evening walks and then come right into my house where I have to call their owner to come and pick them up because it's too dangerous for them to be out in the evening with all the coyotes around.
A particularly sweet Siamese kitty is most content sleeping in my bed under all the covers where she thinks she's hiding from the world and cannot be found. She almost missed her family's summer vacation that way. But we found her in time for her trip.

So yeah, I'm a lovable person all right. Sometimes I feel I get along better with animals than I do with people, but animals are more sensitive and cautiously curious of their world. They're centainly less argumentative and return love unconditionally. Being accepted by them is a huge compliment. And a very nice feeling I might add. :love_heart:

I have human friends too of course but I get more compliments from them on my physical self-(what I'm wearing etc.) than I do on my spiritual self.

OOOh Chic...you just have written exactly how I feel about myself...animals absolutely adore me..perhaps cuz I smell like a skunk.. ;)...and like you Dogs love me the most...

...and yes also people always want to throw their arms around me..even my clients can't resist lol...but humans compliment me on my clothing..or ask about my health , but if I'm being honest...apart from my family, I don't think any of those same humans would have my back if the chips were down, whereas my furkids would defend me to the death..

People call me an animal so I must be...

Now I'll have to think about this awhile. It seems the real question here is: If animals aren't crazy about you, are you still a lovable person? :) I think I am more loveable than my husband is and yet all animals are crazy about him and love him to death. Including cats and dogs we see on walks (he stops and talks to them) and dogs sticking their heads out of parked cars or cars at intersections or in the back of pick ups. My own dogs love me but I am not a big animal person. I have to hurry here and leave for a few hours, so I'll think about this today. Am I lovable? I'm not sure. Also I am not a fashion plate and never have been so I'm not sure how that fits in here either. I am writing this sort of tongue in cheek and don't mean to offend anyone, but it is my first thoughts on this subject.

Did someone call me? :joke: ;) My husband thinks I'm loveable, and animals like me and I like them alot. My cat is always sitting on me purring, or walking so close to me, I almost trip over her....she's definitely loveable. Whenever I go anywhere, people call me hon alot...if that means loveable, :) and also on the phone, because I have a young sounding voice. When I was a bit younger, people would call to speak to my husband, and I would get asked if my daddy's home, and I would yell....Daddy, Daddy, telephone! :D

That's something I miss from my old job. There were a bunch of huggy people, and with some it was a standard greeting any time you crossed paths. I'm a bit shy in social situations so it was delightful to have folks just spontaneously give you a needed bear hug. But with companion animals yes I'm very popular. Cats especially and bigger dogs...Small dogs are a bit hesitant sometimes. Maybe they smell all of our house creatures and it spooks them? But I'll walk up to the most imposing looking mutt and get them wagging.

Well, I've had a host of dogs and cats in my life who loved me..even ones I didn't feed and spoil. :)..as far as humans..well of course..a few here and there..and even a few I didn't feed and spoil.

:wink1:

Lovable --- of course --- we all are -- every last living thing - cats, dogs, mice, humans, trees, birds, kangaroos, monkeys, ete. etc peanuts and broccoli!

Two of my other favorites are babies and toddlers, a natural gift for bringing out big smiles and belly laughs...Then there's

My daughter has several pet white rats...a rat pack if you would. Some nights we block the door against the dogs and go in to cuddle rats. If they've been tamed and socialized they're very affectionate. When you open the cage they'll come pouring out and climb right into your hands. They love petting and will even groom you if they're relaxed enough. Amazing little creatures

I beg to differ Imp.......I find you very lovable........maybe even a little cute and hugable.

Damn I knew that wearing that makeup yesterday would probably have a side effect or maybe it's just the scotch I'm sipping on..........I just feel so confused.
Make up yesterday? :) I just came over here to edit this and say, I read the make up post. Your post over there was funny, but I realize skin cancer isn't funny.
