Art, anything goes...

WOW!! I love ART! These pictures are great to see.
My favorite artists are Toulouse-Lautrec, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and many more such as
El Greco, ( I did the unthinkable and lightly touched his painting of Toledo at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY City.)
It was so beautiful I bought a copy of it and framed the copy-long ago.

I also have a small copy of Paris in the rain, that I think Toulouse Lautrec painted.

I think Art takes us out of where we are, into a different perspective sometimes. And the artists are often as unusual as their different styles are , and they all give a lasting reality to what they painted.

I almost forgot a more modern painter ( and unusual) Salvador Dali and his painting, "The Persistence of Memory ."

Some years ago I came across an artist name of Richard Watkins. How I met Richard is lost in the mists of time, amnesia, old age and all that. The car in Richard's work is mine, or at least the inspiration for the car comes from when he came across mine when he was out and about.
Searching for Richard's website I discovered it closed but Watkin Art led me to Richard's Instagram Page. There I discovered that Richard had retired but he still does the occasional commission and many examples of his work is now on Instagram, click on the link to see.

Back in his working days Richard did this commission of my classic MG. It was a work of which he was most pleased. He just loved the car.
