Art, anything goes...

We got over to San Francisco to see the Botticelli show with my 17 year old niece last week. A rare treat as his work from the 1400s rarely leaves Italy.

Botticelli Artworks We Only Just Found Out About

Most of my photos were skewed by having to shoot from an angle because of the number of viewers present. Better photos are available in the write up for the show above.

But here are a couple of the pieces I liked best.

After we returned we posed for this picture sporting the entry stickers for the show.

Photos of the exhibit are breath taking.
You're niece is beautiful.
You're not bad either. 🌹;)

Well I agree with you about my niece, an aspiring artist herself. She was put off by my wife's abrupt manner when she was younger being more used to more girly women. But now that she is into art, Lia's own artwork has become a deciding factor in her affections. (We're still buds though.)

A late painting by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt has resurfaced in a private collection and will be sold in April, Viennese auction house Kinsky said Thursday.

“Bildnis Fraeulein Lieser” (Portrait of Miss Lieser) was commissioned by a wealthy Jewish industrialist’s family and painted by Klimt in 1917 shortly before he died.
