In the middle pic, in the left lower corner, there is a lone sneaker. That did it for me.

How dreadful.

Can anyone please verify if it was a terror attack?
That is what they are calling it over here.
yes..he was an Isis terrorist

The man who drove a truck into a crowd of New Year's revelers in New Orleans' French Quarter, killing 15, has been identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, a US citizen.

The Ford electric vehicle was owned by another 42-year-old man from Houston, Texas. The truck had reportedly been rented out on Turo, and police are in contact with the owner who listed it for rent.

The gunman was killed by police after he slammed a truck into pedestrians celebrating the New Year, exited the vehicle, and started firing.

The vehicle was reportedly carrying an ISIS flag and a chest with explosives inside it.

Authorities investigating the 'mass casualty incident' say the driver showed 'very intentional behavior' after driving into crowds in the city's French Quarter before they got out and fired a weapon.

Truck used in attack owned by Houston man

The truck used in the attack, a white Ford F-150 Lightning electric vehicle, is owned by Rodrigo Diaz, per ABC News.
Diaz apparently rented out the truck on the rental app Turo.
His wife Dora Diaz told ABC they are 'devastated' and had no idea the truck would be used for a terrorist attack.
'My husband rents cars through the Turo app. I can’t tell you anything else. I’m here with my kids, and this is devastating,' Diaz said.

The FBI said they have found other potential explosive devices - separate from those found inside the van used to kill 10 people.
Officials have asked that people stay away from the beloved area as the probe continues.
Federal detectives are working to determine 'potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations.'

This was Bourbon St... a street known by it's name all over the world.... just minutes before the carnage

He wouldn't be my real estate agent. Those cold as ice eyes, saying things like "fierce negotiator," etc. I would want someone far more personable to represent me in real estate matters. He has the personality of a low budget lawyer.

well I'm not American so I can only take your word for that..... however calling himself a Fierce negotiator..is clearly a lie.. he certainly showed himself to be a liar and coward....

The sugar bowl has been rescheduled for tomorrow night. They think he had help so looking for them. It’s really heartbreaking.

UPDATE: FBI does not believe suspect was acting alone

The FBI has formally identified the man who killed 10 and injured another 35 before dying in a shoot-out with police in the French Quarter early on New Year's Day. However - they also say they do not believe he was acting alone.

They've identified the man as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. Army veteran and an American-born U.S. citizen from Texas. They say he had an Isis flag and IEDs in his rented pick-up truck, and that they found other possible explosive devices in the quarter.

At a 1 p.m. press conference, Special Agent in Charge Alethea Duncan said investigators so far have found two IEDs in the quarter and rendered them safe. They're looking for more.

Duncan also said they do not believe that Jabbar was acting alone, and they've issued a fervent call for the public to provide any information they might have.

They're asking anyone who might have had contact with Jabbar over the past 72 hours to contact the FBI. If anyone knows anything about him or is contacts, associations or affiliations, they're asked to call the FBI and share their information. Anyone with photos or videos are also asked to help. You can submit info via the digital tipline: www.fbi.gov/bourbonstreetattack or you can call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
Here's the video of the presser:

Here's the full FBI release from earlier in the day:
Today, at approximately 3:15am CST an individual drove a pickup truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least 10 and injuring dozens of others. After hitting the crowd, he exited the vehicle and fired upon local law enforcement. Law enforcement returned fire and the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two law enforcement officers were injured and transported to a local hospital.
The subject has been identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Texas. He was driving a Ford pickup truck, which appears to have been rented and we are working to confirm how the subject came into possession of the vehicle.
An ISIS flag was located in the vehicle and the FBI is working to determine the subject's potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations.
Weapons and a potential IED were located in the subject’s vehicle. Other potential IEDs were also located in the French Quarter. The FBI’s Special Agent Bomb Technicians are working with our law enforcement partners to determine if any of these devices are viable and they will work to render those devices safe.
The FBI is the lead investigative agency, and we are working with our partners to investigate this as an act of terrorism.
We are aggressively running down all leads to identify any possible associates of the subject.
The FBI has set up a digital tip line and we ask anyone with information or video of the incident to submit them to www.fbi.gov/bourbonstreetattack or call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Note he chose to rent an electric vehicle which are heavier than similar gas vehicles. So much so that tire wear much greater with evs. Sounds like he planned ahead.

Heavier vehicle means more casualties.

The press keeps babbling about stupid football games, for God's sakes! Jerks.

How does this matter when 15 people have been murdered and others injured in yet another terrorist attack on America?

F*uck the football "games"!!! Shut up about them!

I hear you, but on the other hand it is important not to be cowed by such attacks.
Some will grieve and others will demonstrate defiance.
