I doubt any of our SF fellows will bother searching us out for a few registered guns that are engraved with those bothersome serial numbers. This is the very reason I thought it unwise for members to advertise details of gun ownership (or lack thereof) on this forum or other forms of social media.

Local news said police are gathering videos from the nightclub, as witnesses said an argument broke out inside, and from street cams that might show shooters running gun in hand. Problem with that is, Sacramento city officials have never been into covering the cost of street cams. The suspectS still on the loose. They'll probably be at least one suicide by cop with another probably heading for the border. All this because someone didn't do what they wanted or expected.
It's been probably 20 years since I was in downtown Sacramento. Is this anywhere near that shopping place where Macy's was? I can't remember if it was a completely enclosed mall or partially open.Shooting broke out about 2 am, right after the bars/nightclubs close, and witnesses say there were at least 2 shooters who were shooting at each other after exchanging punches and shoves. Pretty likely they were drunk. As likely, drugs involved, too. Nightclub bathrooms are popular spots for drug sales and use.
This took place in Downtown Sacramento on a street that was part of a huge, beautiful shopping district until some of the most popular stores started closing about a decade ago. The area where the church shooting back in Feb was also a low crime area until fairly recently. Both areas have seen a boom in homeless camps. I'm guessing that's relative.
It was exactly there; 10th and K St.It's been probably 20 years since I was in downtown Sacramento. Is this anywhere near that shopping place where Macy's was? I can't remember if it was a completely enclosed mall or partially open.
They are discussing it on San Francisco news talk right now. Nothing solved from what they are saying. Very tragic.
Have to disagree there, the BoR is part of the constitution, so the oath does apply. But it is in our Bill of Rights, which is separate from the Constitution. When an elected official takes the Oath of Office s/he only swears to uphold and protect the Constitution, the Oath doesn't refer to the Bill of Rights.
Agreed, but there are always lurkers on public sites. The chances are obviously small, but generally speaking it's not a good idea to divulge too much privat business on the Internet.I doubt any of our SF fellows will bother searching us out for a few registered guns that are engraved with those bothersome serial numbers.
I probably wouldn't confess it on a site like facebook or twitter, though.
Only the Constitution is mentioned, though. This point has been argued by certain politicians.Have to disagree there, the BoR is part of the constitution, so the oath does apply.
Sure, at that time of the full force and effect date of the Original 7, the BoR had not been adopted yet, they applied after adoption, since at the time, the BoR only applied to the federal government. Can you imagine a President telling the people his government is not bound by the 4th AM since it was not part of the O-7, or they will enact a National religion despite the 1st?Only the Constitution is mentioned, though. "faces charges on suspicion of being a prohibited person (felon) in possession of a firearm and possessing a machine gun."Suspect one's brother arrested
https://fox40.com/news/sacramento-m...brother-arrested-in-sacramento-mass-shooting/
Little or no details yet as to their roles in the murders.
Have to wonder how big their gang was. In one of the videos it shows a physical fight which stopped after machine gun fire. One of the brothers was convicted of domestic abuse so he cant own a gun period."faces charges on suspicion of being a prohibited person (felon) in possession of a firearm and possessing a machine gun."
Machine gun??
That boy's in a heap o' trouble. I'd love to know where he got a machine gun. I doubt the police dept will make it public; every gangsta will want one.
Probably the fight broke out because the one gang was off-turf, which is an open threat....a declaration of war, basically.Have to wonder how big their gang was. In one of the videos it shows a physical fight which stopped after machine gun fire. One of the brothers was convicted of domestic abuse so he cant own a gun period.
Standard operating procedure isn’t it.Rumor on the street here is that one or more members of the off-turf gang went missing over the weekend and they suspect the downtown gang has something to do with it, or knows where they are. Just a rumor, though.
I'm not sure but I think this is Sacramento's first mass shooting, so they're setting the standard, I guess.Standard operating procedure isn’t it.
We don't have many new criminals; we have many recycled criminals. One of the brothers released early on parole serving 3 years on a 10 year sentence despite opposition from the DA. Should've been considered a danger.

Here's an example. The principal shooter, Smiley Martin, got an early release from a 10-year sentence and should have been given more time for a number of past charges. We don't have many new criminals; we have many recycled criminals.
How else would police officers, district attorneys & judges justify their salaries & raises? And how else would they come across as heroes, devoted to "fighting crime?"
Definitely - the other issue with early release. Here's an example. The principal shooter, Smiley Martin, got an early release from a 10-year sentence and should have been given more time for a number of past charges.
But there are literally thousands of up-and-coming new criminals here. They know the "big guys" are let loose too often or get off on a legal technicality and they aspire to attain the same glory.
The BoR is always referred to as a separate document. When I took my kids to tour the White House years ago, the BoR and the bigC were not even displayed side-by-side. The guide goes, "Here's the Constitution," and did his schpiel about that, and then you walk a ways and he goes, "Now, over here, we have the BoR," and yadda yadda about that.Sure, at that time of the full force and effect date of the Original 7, the BoR had not been adopted yet, they applied after adoption, since at the time, the BoR only applied to the federal government. Can you imagine a President telling the people his government is not bound by the 4th AM since it was not part of the O-7, or they will enact a National religion despite the 1st?
