At Your Age What Do You Live For?

That is a great question and it speaks to having a "purpose" in life, especially when you are retired. I am an only child who has lost both parents and I have very few close friends, so I would have to say I live for my partner. He is my best friend.

I also live to gain more knowledge about the world around me. Traveling to other countries has helped in that regard.

I also live to have something to look forward to. We usually have something planned, whether it be a play, concert or trip.

That said, I truly do need to find some volunteer work because I want to leave a legacy other than the one I left in my career.

I've studied the Earth and Universe natural world in this modern science era so would be content and happy to exist eternally as I now am forever. Our planet and it's life is absolutely incredible and fascinating. I so so love existence and life. Though a sinner at times especially when young, have learned how to live a long adult life reasonably following Jesus in order to receive his Father's gift of loving Eternal Life. I'm still physically fit and active now at 75 to enjoy many things but do realize in a few years that will inevitably change. But being that as long as my eyes can read, my mind can think, will have endless things to occupy my time.

I live in the present and look forward to tomorrows. Always find things that keep me busy and occupied. By the end of the day, I'm a 'good' tired.

I enjoy the outdoors, my wildlife, feral cats and kittens. There isn't a day that goes by that something outdoors doesn't distract me from what I was doing. I feel content with the life I live.

To know that my consciousness is connected somehow, in some measure, with everyone else's consciousness. That the entity we refer to as God and which is vast beyond all human comprehension is also connected to us all. That I am obliged to learn lessons and that empathy is one of the important lessons. That my consciousness/soul is eternal and immortal and that my journey will continue after I experience what we refer to as death, and that the course of that journey will be affected by my choices of conduct here in this material life. That a good plan of behavior is to not bring suffering to anything that's alive........as much as that's possible. And to live peaceably with other people as much as that is possible.

I have 3 kids, 2 dogs and many good friends. Combined they make my life enjoyable. I love getting outside and walking daily.

Plus I am back to working part time evaluating clients which I really love. I do have aches and pains like most almost 70 but I’m grateful that I am still in decent shape.

To see the super rich pay their fair share of tax, and every homeless person have a roof over their heads..... oh, and I'd like another 86 years, 'cause I'm still only a youngster. 😊

Well, we've had company from Bulgaria for over a week and have gone places and eaten out a lot.
I think personally I enjoy extended periods of serenity interrupted by family and friends that help you
get out of your comfort zone and do different things - this keeps your world from getting smaller and smaller.
