Australia hosts lots of foreign tourists

How did you like China going back like 20 years had a friend who lived there for 2 years , some type business but good country relations then .

Did you find it well run , etc ?

Edit , I loved Anthony Bourdain show not sure if you heard of it and he was in China several times the cuisine looked great .

Well I was only there for 2 weeks and mostly in touristy places. Back in 2018.

Australia has been getting tourists for well nigh over 200 years now and the original inhabitants have never been too impressed?
We get a lot of tourists here Europe , Canada and Australia in that order .

I am leaving for Key West in couple hours till Mon which is 6 hour drive and there you do get a lot of Australian tourists but they avoid Miami .

This is what I found in a search online. It seems that at one time, it was ok to defecate into the hole in the floor and rinse with water, instead of using TP. In today’s culture, although it is no longer mandated, either in the hole or a toilet is acceptable, but rinsing is still used as is TP. I think that the way it is worded kind of contradicts itself.

While Singaporean culture and some religious practices (Hinduism and Muslim) in the region may involve squat toilets and water rinsing for hygiene after defecation, there is no specific religious group in Singapore that mandates defecating into a hole in the floor and using only water for cleansing, instead of toilet paper.
  • Water Rinsing:
In some cultures, water is used for cleansing after defecation, which is easier to perform with a squat toilet.
    Toilet Paper Usage:
Toilet paper is readily available and commonly used in Singapore, alongside water rinsing for hygiene.

Did you like it ?

yes it was a great trip.

Have also been to Vietnam twice and to Cambodia and to Singapore.

Singapore is a small and very developed country - it does not have people living in traditional rural lifestyles like other Asian countries.

Our experience of squat toilets - they did have toilet paper although in some places you could not flush it, it just went into a bin at the side of the toilet. Hotels etc obviously you could but often not in smaller places
That of course is nothing to do with religion, just the level of piping supply.

Right now, I am in no mood for Tourists, I find them disrespectful and ill-mannered.

Eg: Sam Jones stealing a baby wombat away from its mother.
Seriously, she should have been deported immediately, but no, the Idiot in power gets on live TV and invites her to hijack a Crocodile.
FFS, he should have made an example of her by cancelling her visa and putting her on the watch list of people not allowed to enter Australia, and deporting her sorry @$$.
I might have posted this until I checked out her claim that thousands of wombats are killed under licence each year by pastoralists.

Licence to Kill — The shocking scale of native wildlife killing in Australia - Humane World for Animals

As horrible as those numbers are, and they are horrible, it still does not excuse her behaviour, she caused fear in the mother of that Wombat.
She's lucky that wombat mother didn't charge and knock her off her feet.

I'm not excusing her ignorant and thoughtless behaviour but apparently wombats are at greater risk from pastoralists. Much greater and deadlier risk. I did not know this until now.
