Best Go-Togethers?

Chips (fries) and Mayo.... now I know that sounds gross to some people, it did to me when I first had them in France and Belgium... *ugh* I thought how horrible...but actually it's delicious, so for many years, I've never had ketchup on my fries only ever have mayo on the side to dip them in...

My ex used to eat his fries this way @hollydolly. He'd get SO angry when he asked for a side of mayo for his fries, and they'd bring him Miracle whip!!!!

I have to say though, I got so I enjoyed mayo with my fries, and now it' my preferred dip too.

I have to respectfully disagree on the pizza and beer thing. To me, beer destroys the taste of pizza, as well as most other foods, with the exception of Mexican. Tacos especially. To me, tacos and beer were made for each other. With pizza, it has to be Coke.

You're not wrong @Jim W. Though I prefer Pepsi, that kind of cola beverage is so good with Pizza. Except it can't be Dr. Pepper or Root Beer, has to be straight cola.

As far as wine with anything, I'm definitely not a wine connoisseur. Heck, when I was single/divorced for 21 years, I would never think of dating a gal that drank wine. That is, unless it was Boones Farm Strawberry Hill (LOL). Generally women who drank wine were way out of my financial category.

I think your information is out of date Cody. You can buy a bottle of wine, decent stuff too, for about $3.50. You don't have to be a wine connoisseur to drink wine either. You just have to enjoy the general taste. I've had very expensive wine, and the $3.50 bottles, and I just don't notice a whole lotta difference. My palate just isn't that discerning! :ROFLMAO:

It has to be fish and chips (with Tartare sauce). Chips on their own with mayo, although it would traditionally be salt and vinegar.

Since I'm probably the only guy who doesn't like pizza, I've no idea what goes with it.
I detest these chilled tasteless 'lagers' and I don't like any variety of stout. Give me a good English real ale or a Belgian Trappist beer. There's probably one that goes with whatever you're eating.

Me and Sophia Loren

or

Me and Lauren Bacall (and I can whistle)

Me and Debbie Reynolds and Moon River.......

"Bill, will you wake up and take your face out of the aspidistra plant?"

Hummmmm, a woman smoking a cigar? I think I've seen this once. I've also met some woman who used smokeless tobacco, as in Copenhagen or even Red Man Chew. I seen one lady, on her horse, working at a livestock yard, pull out a can of Copenhagen and get a pinch. Didn't bother me at all.
My best friend had a cigar smoking party for her retirement! I tried it and almost barfed, funny!

You're my kind of gal!! I love my wife dearly, but she does use ketchup and I can't break her of that nasty habit.

Tartar sauce, which is really just glorified mayonnaise, is good too.

Or ranch dressing, Caesar Salad dressing, Buffalo ranch dressing etc, etc.
