Boris in hospital

The news that the UK prime minister has be taken to hospital came out late last night.

Reassurances are being given, this is a precaution, and he remains in charge of the government, just as he's said to have soldiered on working for the last ten days since becoming infected with Coronavirus

No one can have for seen developments since he became prime minister, but just now he's not had the luckiest six months or so. In the 1950s our then prime minister fell I'll (Winston Churchill), and the home secretary covered for him for a few months without the public becoming aware of his ill health. Obviously the media played their part in allowing this yo happen for the good of the nation, and in any case our government used to go into the summer, and more or less shutdown for a few months to give us all a rest.

None of this can happen now, and the demands upon those holding high office are never ending. He'll get the best care, and God willing will soon be better, but you just wish he could have a little more peace as was once possible.

Hard to know exactly what the latest news about our prime minister's health might be, as perhaps understandably, there is some reticence being shown on behalf of the government, but he clearly remains very unwell, as he is still in the intensive care ward, when of course every instinct would make him want to be working again.

Now that he has recovered I hope he has had time to reflect on his foolishness in cheerfully shaking so many hands after being warned not to do this. It would be gracious of him to admit his mistake and urge others to stay safe and avoid physical contact outside the home.

I'd settle for a prime minister, his cabinet, and the whole government, aided by the opposition , making the best decisions possible going forward.

But did you notice that even though he knew he was infected when he was getting into and out of the car on the hospital trip, he wasn't wearing a mask? Well he's recovering but his father said it was touch and go there for a "minute".
