In his second election his win dropped to more like 52% so then 48% did not like him. Fortunately for the entire country, he won't be allowed to run anymore. Likely he would not win a third time anyway.

I don't know what happened to the Bush boys, I thought George H.W. was a decent man doing a fairly decent job.

If Bush had been keeping an eye Downunder he would be aware that a comment like "stuff happens", even when uttered seemingly in private, is never going to end well.
Our former PM made such a statement while still in opposition. It ended badly.
