HOW do they know that?!? Do they have someone standing directly beneath the Sun??? I bet there are at least a couple of new Walmart sweatshops under there ... and maybe a McDonald's or two.

Yes, FDR is now considered one our best presidents, but the politics remain the same...

FDR actually prolonged the depression. Only WWII ended it. And really, the build up in defense spending for many mililtary ventures started in the mid 30's.

Good book, I think titled Americas Forge, really goes into the build up of manufacturing.
