We'd drool in the candy shop, unable to decide what to buy, after getting some 10 and 25 cents from our moms.
Somewhere out there in never land, there is one of these with my large tooth filling in it.
Loved 'em.
We call one of the neighbor's horses that. Had one, but can't say I remember it much.

I don't recognise any of the Amercan sweets that have been posted on here already.. we didn't have those..but we certainly had these wax lips...I'd forgotten all about then until now...I was fortunate to grow up in a small town with an old fashioned general store that had a circular candy counter.
One side was all penny candy and the other side was more for adults to select chocolates to make up boxed assortments.
After school every day two very patient women manned the candy counter waiting on the local kids, it’s amazing that they took in enough to pay the help and the overhead.
Wax tubes filled with sweet liquid and fake mustaches, lips, etc… were very popular.
