LOL! I was going to ask the same! But continuing down it seems he is real! I rarely use my oven now with just the two of us I use a bench top roaster for just about everything from ....well, roasts and puddings, small cakes etc. and I use my electric pot and/or frypan for everything else.
My oven is a shining testament to it's last thorough clean - I do use the top and that is easy to clean as it is a glass one and easy to wipe over.
