I watch this as well.
Not that I'm aware of. Why would you think so?You really are in a mood tonight….something you ate?

The part about questioning God’ existence…I feel comfort knowing there is an all loving presence…but…you are entitled to your beliefs or doubt…just being flippant…sorry….Not that I'm aware of. Why would you think so?
Yep, she's been around for a while.
Well, bless your heart! The part about questioning God’ existence…I feel comfort knowing there is an all loving presence…but…you are entitled to your beliefs or doubt…just being flippant…sorry….

It can be about anything you like. I just thought that a thread to discuss alternate points of view might be a good thing. Freedom of thought, if you will. There seemed to be many threads about beliefs but not so much about the lack thereof. And if one expressed a lack of belief, that opinion didn’t seem so welcome. So here, let logic and rationality be believed.I'm an atheist, but I'm not sure what this thread is about.
Thanks for sharing your view.In matters of faith, it's not really possible to make rational arguments based entirely on known facts. As it happens, I place my trust in the scientific method rather than revelations, but I don't criticize those who see it in a different way. There are always extremists in any large human endeavor, be it fringe religions or the pursuit of discredited scientific theory. They make for weak arguments simply because they don't represent mainstream thought.
Related to the topic of "common sense" atheism, to me that's defined as "to each their own". Religion exists to fill a need; I'm not one to fault anyone who views it as a way to find answers to difficult questions. It's not within me to think that way, but I don't feel any compulsion to force my views on anyone else.
Lots of people believe the very same way, John. Some call it god while some call it Big Brother. I believe that what’s past will forever stay in the past and what’s yet to come, will come when it does. That’s just based though on my own experience, I can’t prove it but I can believe it. I’m not trying to ask anyone to believe the same way I do. I just would like a better understanding of why they believe what I cannot. I can recall the past and I can dream about the future but neither is a malleable commodity that I can use right now. So I believe that right now is all I have and once I’ve had that realization, it’s not right now anymore, it’s then and I’m a short ways into the future that although small, is a piece of the future. Whomever or whatever watches you, if it or they actually do, try to put on a good show for them or it. Life should be entertaining, I believe.I belive there is something watching over us, some call it God, some call it different things, but I still feel it.
Ha. I saw what you did there. lolFreedom of thought, if you will.
