Au contraire. It's been very effective. People are rapidly embracing a digitized world which was largely introduced because so many were so terrified of covid that a touch free cashless world with as little physical contact with others as possible appealed to them and still does. People are paying for stuff with a chip implanted in their hand. Just wait until criminals get a load of this.

I think you are right, in that COVID accelerated a process that was already happening. We just got moved up a couple of years. Do you see anything wrong with that?

I was skeptical when I read this, but sure enough it's true... Not going to get one in my hand. What happens when you need a new chip or account? Surgical removal?

My dog has a chip, but don't think she can pay for stuff with it, hope not anyway. That's the only chip going into anyone in my household.

Well, I think I owe Chic an apology! In my mind she presented a vision where EVERYONE was being forced to being implanted or to do all their shopping electronically because of world-wide data collected with the help of Covid! If I misunderstood, I am sorry!

I think the most likely case is that it originated in bats like most SARS type coronaviruses do, then was transferred to other animals that ate the bats, and those other animals were sold at the animal food markets where the original infections were traced back to. Zoonosis happens quite often where diseases are transferred that way. I have no reason to conclude this was any different. But then I am always a skeptic of conspiracy theories.

Yes, I know there are approx 8 billion humans maybe will be less shortly. And yes, I do believe they want us to live as consumer slaves. Smart enough to desire and spend what little they will allow us to have but stupid enough to believe in the trap they are setting for us.

Sorry Chic, I still can't wrap my head around that scenario! How would it work? Would the world's biggest economies, China and the U.S., combine their efforts, make a comprehensive surveillance of all in order to create obedient consumers and promote a sort of enslaving super-capitalism? Would they exclude third-world countries who can barely afford their daily bread!

A method of mind control for individuals in capitalist countries is already in place. We are encouraged every day through commercials, through influencers, to buy, buy, buy! Yay, we're all consumers, and credit cards are maxed and unpaid bills pile up! And both have to work now where one was enough in the past!

Some people trust the government above everything. It's like a second daddy to them. Covid proved that. Have you never heard the story of the frog in boiling water? It's the same thing as the chain links.

It seems wise to me to stay well informed from various sources, instead of trusting blindly, but that's just me.

Do you really think very many people are so trusting in the government? Most of the people I know have a healthy skepticism, no matter what their positions on the Covid related issues. Distrust of the government is a kind of American thing... or so I believe.

I have a deep seated mistrust or skepticism of the government and most large bureaucracies.

With respect to Covid I listened to lots of people, but really relied on the statistics I could find and my own intuition. I decided to get the vaccines because I believed they would reduce my risk of illness. And I think they have. I did not follow all of the mask guidance, but I did wear a mask when it was expected. And whenever I thought I might be sick. Not because any government agency told me to do it, but because I thought it was the right thing to do. I believe many, probably most, Americans think something like this and made their own decisions accordingly.

That's true in general, Myrtle! But if some of the sources just aren't credible? There's a lot of false information out there that's being accepted now because the lie has been forwarded to others countless times, and now because so many believe it, it must be true! Forget about your dislike of Government and look at chic's proposition of what might happen shortly, or is happening already .... carefully!

Well, I don't put my total trust in Government either. Politicians are flawed, sometimes corrupt, often controlled by the Big Guys behind the scenes but I really prefer having an all too human government to having mob rule! Trust me, it can be horrifying to have a bunch of fanatics march through your streets, with no one to stop them.

I really think that far too many Americans are uninformed. Much of the news is unpleasant. Many simply ignore information and the idea of checking various sources is overwhelming to them.

Seriously? Of course some of the sources won't be credible but we won't know which ones they are if we don't take a sampling of them. We could probably say that all sources slant stories and be correct. However, there are some well known sources that simply ignore the stories that don't meet their agenda.

I guess I'm not sure how you jumped from what anyone just said to mob rule. You know there is a middle ground of rooting out the corruption and reinstalling justice but that is hard, hard work and requires an informed citizenry.

Anyway, all I'm saying and always say is it's a good thing to be informed from a multitude of sources. Maybe there's something to find out about what Chic's saying. :)

Would they try again so soon when there has been a lot of exposure and at least some pushback? I almost think they should leave this generation alone and accept defeat while waiting for a weaker generation. to exploit.
