Ken,thanks for sharing this,I was quite impressed with them
When I was younger, every Fri night,my siblings&I attended dance classes where the teacher taught us fox trot, waltz, but no 'swing moves'
My favorite dancing partner was a guy in my class who could do all the moves. His older sister taught him, and they practiced a lot.
He was the envy of all the other guys at school dances.
I could not do that. But I still remember when my cousin's son got married, she and her husband did a great dance routine to a 50's medley. They did great. Of course, they were just in their 50s at the time.
Yes I could when I was young and despite my dodgy knee currently, I can still do it now... . My problem is getting a partner now tho'..hubs doesn't dance...
Before my stroke I could. My favorite was the two step. I was a two steppin fool at the Rio de Palm in Longview, Texas. A group of us would go every Saturday night and we had great country music bands. In fact we were great friends with Neal McCoy who started off there. Funny but most of the group were Baptist and would tell others in their church that dancing was a sin. They thought I was a sinner anyway since I attended the Episcopal church! I couldn't stay in the Baptist church as I came to realize my faith was more aligned with the Episcopal faith. Loved to dance until they would close. We would eat breakfast and come home and I still could be at morning prayer by 9 Sunday morning. A lot younger then!
Not a chance. I wouldn't even try it & I'm only 66. Walking is challenging enough for me; I've never had a good sense of balance.
I think they are both former professional dancers.
If I had a partner that danced I could learn to do it.
I’m certainly strong and flexible enough.
I wish I’d taken up ballroom dancing.
It’s so classy and romantic.
Have always loved watching others dance, and always been jealous of watching some guys dance, I have NO rhythm in this body... and now no balance... Always wanted to learn to dance like that... Thank you @Ken N Tx for sharing such a beautiful piece of art...
