Couple killed their 5 year old adopted son then created a Go-fund-me page to pay for his funeral..

the problem with this tho' is that many prisons house child killer and rapists all in the same wing, away from the general population... so they're all buddies together..I've seen it...
In the UK, right?

Here in the US, some new inmates are held in what's called Protective Custody, but that's only temporary. They have to enter the general population at some point.

Nope..the USA... one show we did was a documentary following one of our Top TV newsreaders as he was permitted to walk and talk to Life prisoners in a Prison in the USA... over a period of about a week.. . He spoke to killers of all sorts, visited them in their cells, and to Child rapists and killers...he spoke to them about their crimes, and they were very open with him.. and their lives serving their sentences.. they were also very open about that which included them killing each other..

I have never forgotten the peodophile who raped and killed a child and was permitted to keep a picure of her on his Cell wall...

One of the prisons he visited was Indiana State prison...

Protective Custody is always temporary. The only exception is if the inmate is only serving a few years, he could get away with being segregated for his full term.

But even then, the prison has to put him in GP for short periods every day or every week or once a month, unless he is unquestionably a threat to himself or others if they do. And when that's the case, he's likely to be housed at a secure psych hospital.

This situation has been talked about among Troopers all over the state. Troopers are hoping this little boy will get Justice.

The couple is being housed in Greene State Prison, just outside of Pittsburgh. It is also a maximum security prison that houses most of Pennsylvania’s death row inmates.

Seeing that they are found guilty, what punishment would you like to see handed down by the Judge?
I would want them to spend the rest of their lives in prison but, in truth, whatever the punishment, it won't bring little Landon back, it won't wipe away the suffering he endured and it won't stop children in the future suffering the same fate.

Children in the care system are let down too often. I hope the services who were suppose to be looking after Landon and who placed him in an unsafe home in the first place, are going to be answerable too.

Reading this type of criminal behavior against children must worry you when it comes to Paxton and his continuing adoption issues.

It's worrying me..😟
Yes, it does. And this isn't the only incident of its kind. It's a story that doesn't get publicly reported every time it happens. But it should. I suspect it doesn't get published very often because CPS (or whatever it's called in your state) blocks publication to "protect the privacy" of the perpetrators whenever they can.

But, of course, they're only protecting CPS funding.

Child Protective Services is a racket, pure and simple. They benefit more financially from completing adoptions than from the foster parent program. For its size, Amador County, the county handling Paxton's case, has had a disproportionate number of legal complaints against it, but these complaints go nowhere. If they even make it to a lower court, they languish there for years after the child's case was closed and everyone has moved on...except the grieving parent, grandparent, or foster parent who never sees their child again.

Death.

@hollydolly

An exception is Death Row. In some states (most, probly), prisoners who were given the death sentence live in a separate block; separate from inmates who are serving a term. It isn't protective custody, it's just separate, more secure, and sometimes more strict.

Sadly another example of alleged parents that considered their children a burden. They should be giving children up for adoption rather than go through the charade of parenting. To be judegemental without apology the mom seems more worried about getting into a party bar with that purple hair rather than a soccer mom club.

Actually, that purple-haired POS adopted the child she beat to death.

Given the timesin which we live .... sadly, this no longer surprises me.

Disgust me ? Of course .... But again no real surprise.

@911 ... Are there any rules, laws, etc. that would somehow "protect" this scum from being housed in general because he was a corrections officer?
Can not answer for 911, but no. Any inmate can request or apply for special housing, but rarely would it be granted. It would have to serve a compelling government interest to do so, such here serves none.

My bad, Browsed did not read. Relied on brief initial reports

How did the woman get approved .I can't believe there were not signs in advance/authorities informed.. And the guy a prison guard? He was employed but employed in a high stress job who might not want to deal with domestic life stress which included 5 kids. What kind of adoption was ths?

I think it was Pennsylvania that had the kids for cash scandal years ago in which corrupt judges were sending juvenile delinquents to private detention facilities they had a financial stake in. Figured they would've learned or changed juvenile welfare programs & laws

Child protective agencies need to be fully investigated and related laws changed and amended.
There needs to be a complete reformation.

One of the twins is named Landon.

Maybe your theory is accurate.
I'm telling you it is. I have been studying this for awhile. As for the boy being adopted, in the murder case I mean, all it means is the natural parent of the murdered Landon is the same "type" as the adoptive parents. Makes sense, why was the murdered Landon in the system to begin with? You can trust me on stuff like this Frank.
