These guns do not require serial numbers or a background check of the owner, hence, the name. For about $1200 you can by a small milling machine and get instructions on YouTube. Some Libertarians are applauding this way of insuring their 2nd Amendment rights. However, should this craze take off, another version of the Wild West may be in our future...
 

They were making zip guns back in the '50's, Ralphy. And for a lot cheaper. :p

Now they came up with a gun made on a 3-D printer, but it's only good for one shot. I don't know if it shoots real bullets or confetti, though. ;)
