Do you believe WWIII is inevitable?

We've had WW I. Then WW II. Now, I'm wondering if WW III is just around the corner. Since 1945, we've gotten uncomfortably close to # III, several times. Again, now, there's a lot of saber rattling and posturing. The question is whether you feel that WW III is inevitable. Do you believe that we can forever keep in check our reigning in another World War, with its emphasis on "total war"?

No, with the weapons of today, we wouldn't have time for a WWIII. We'd all be annihilated beforehand.

If what we are told is true, there are those who are trying to provoke another war. It's hard to understand why, knowing what the result could be.

.

The last conflict mentioned in the Bible [Rev 20:7-9] is the Gog/Magog global horde invasion to try to destroy God's remnant, "the camp of the saints."

You know, it's funny. When we in Hawaii had that wrong announcement that we would be getting the bomb in the air from North Korea and not just a test., I Felt somehow okay and peaceful about. It still don't understand that feeling.

No, I don't think we will have WWIII. At least, not as we know war. Not what war has been in the past. I think we will have some type of invasion, but it will be chemical warfare or some other insidious type of "warfare". Technology being what it is.

Sure...and probably sometime during the latter half of this century. However, it will not be the traditional "nation vs. nation" war....but rather the Haves vs. the Have Nots. Overpopulation is the greatest threat to society, and it is getting worse every year. Automation and robotics are taking more jobs, and humans are procreating like rabbits...especially in the poorer nations and societies. At some point the billions of the impoverished are going to rebel, en masse, against those who are not, and all Hell is going to break loose.

A few years ago, the UN made a study that said that the maximum sustainable human population is about 6 billion....we are well over 7 billion, should reach 9 billion by 2050, and 12 billion by 2100. Within the next 30 to 50 years, those who are still working are going to get fed up with paying taxes to support millions who are not, and social programs will be getting cut back. The city streets will become filled with the homeless, and crime will be going off the charts.

Enjoy life today, as those in future generations are going to be living in a far different world. When the tipping point is reached, and the Have Not's win, society will revert to the dark ages. If the Haves win, nations will begin to unite under a common government and language, and humanity will begin a serious reach for the stars. At this point it is 50/50 as to who will prevail.

wwiii? yes indooobidably yes. as the quote from movie red dawn, guess they just forgot what war was like. ground war? no!
air war? no! big big bang war oh ya!! but if it dont happen in the next year or two I wont be here so dont really care, have no family left behind. so go ahead push the button

I don't think there will be an out&out war. But I do think theses on-going skirmishes will continue . The possibility in a "war",... of total destruction is there given today's weapons . There's no money in that. But an on-going skirmish with this & or that country, keeps feeding the "war" machine.....all involved make money.

As for loss of life?....the "war" machine people do not care......only the grieving families do.

I'm 70, [next week] born in 1949 , we have never been @ total peace since i was old enough to pay attention.

War is an employer, a killer , a money maker.....& a heart breaker..........IMO it will never stop.

Such a question might not be deserving of a responses reflecting rational thought. Madness and religious mania has risen it's ugly head. Every time I hear the Russian mafia has access to nuclear weapons and sells them to the highest bidder I shudder. With that being said add the paranoia of the Big 3. Russia has been convinced three times they were under attack by the U.S. with the latest being a meteorite thought to be a nuke missile from us. Worldwide democracies are being challenged by dictatorships and that is real bad for world safety. Because of the unimaginable amount of destruction from nukes I fear more destruction by mini nukes and poison gas mostly by rogue militant groups.

I fear the destruction of the electrical grid or our water supply more than a bomb.

Agreed. North Korea is testing not only nukes but also satellites. An EMP caused by a satellite delivered nuke detonated over the atmosphere of an industrilized area would knock out the power grid for thousands and thousands of miles. And it won't be easily fixed; there are huge transformers in the US grid that have no stockpiled replacements and an 18 month plus time-frame to build and deliver new ones. Think about how many Americans would die with no power or any services dependent on electricity such as sanitation and water treatment plants.

Ted Kopple's Light's Out is an eye opener. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UQERM4C/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1

And there's not much average people can do to prepare for a long-term grid down scenario. Survivalists and preppers don't realize how quickly they'll be overrun by organized raiders if it ever happens.

I fear you are correct. Politicians only think in the short-term...they never seem to consider the consequences of their actions. This has a lot to do with the rise in the population in the developed world...and we have encouraged the less desirable sort to breed. In the past, marriage was the norm and illegitimacy was shameful...people took responsibility for themselves and their families. It's true that people had more children than they could support, but nature kept the population under control. Sounds harsh, but we actually need a war to get rid of the surplus people in the world.
