Do You Eat Rice?

The Instant Pot is transformative for making rice. I measure out and set aside the two or three cups of water (to match the number of cups of jasmine rice I will use). I turn it on to pressure cook for 5 minutes without keeping it warm after, and add some butter to begin melting. Then I rinse the rice in a larger fine sieved colander with a handle. When the butter is nearly melted I add the water and rice, add a very small amount of salt and put the lid on making sure it is set for sealing. Then I walk away and forget about it. I let it depressurize naturally. When the little sealing thingy drops I open it up and fluff it a little with a large fork, being careful not to stir it into paste. That's it. I always make more than we will need so we can have some with stir fry another time or with eggs in the morning. So easy!
I love it in the instant pot. I may try your recipe. I put two cups rice in the instant pot, cover with water and wash it. Then I drain that out using my hand to keep rice from falling out. I add 2 cups water, a couple drops lemon juice, a tsp salt. Cook on high pressure 2 minutes then rest 10 minutes and release. It always comes out yummy.

I love how easy it is compared to range top.

We have an instant pot and my husband uses it all the time.
It does work especially well for rice.

I eat some rice. I'm mostly a pasta kinda gal. However, I like white rice with some butter and seasoning best.

My dad didn't like rice, he was a meat, potatoes and vegetable man which was very common in both my generation and area. My mom though did make it once in awhile but more as a sweet treat with some sugar, cinnamon and a bit of milk added.

I never made it a lot for my kids as I'd simply never had it a lot. But now I LOVE it and have been on a bit of a rice kick lately.

We also have wild rice in my area which is an entirely different thing and that stuff is addictive!

I used to do mostly potatoes if a starch but now I mix it up quite a bit.

I love yellow rice (most comes flavored with saffron, etc.), white, long grain, etc. I have yet to try brown rice but keep meaning to. I also buy Spanish or Mexican rice, just the box as those are just the right flavors to go with certain meals.

I never really thought I liked most Asian food either but have entirely changed my opinion on that. I simply had no idea of some of the meals they had from the limited experience I had with it.

Right now I'm on a potatoes week, and have some pasta also made up but I'd been on a rice kick for probably the four to six weeks before now.

I make oven rice in the winter when it's cold. You just take a cake pan, add the rice, water, etc. but I generally flavor even white rice up. I'll add some bouillon, spices, onion and usually some veg to cook right in it. It's so easy and warms the house up to start the oven. Just mix all in the cake pan, stick it in the oven until done. I do the same on the stovetop, flavor it up and cook.

Even just a bit of soy sauce on some white rice as a quick side, yum. I don't generally go that simple, but I do it nothing prepared.

I love fried rice, especially with leftover cooked chicken in it. Ingredients are vegetable oil, cooked rice, chopped onions (I use frozen), chicken (or beef, shrimp or whatever), cooked peas, one egg, and some soy sauce. Very versatile and easy to make.

I do too! Stuff is so yummy! I just don't normally eat it at home.

I love rice. I do not eat rice very often, it tend to bother my tummy,

My favorite is white rice with a few spices in it. A pinch of garlic and/or parsley. Sometimes just a small amount sugar.
I used to love Rice A Roni, too spicy for me now.

I rarely make rice at home but I do enjoy it.

Baked Spanish rice made with ground beef, green pepper, onion, tomato juice, spices, etc… was always a great dish to take to family pot lucks.

When we were broke, leftover rice warmed with milk, cinnamon, and sugar was one of my favorite day before payday breakfasts.
