Do you ever sing when alone?

I do every day. Mostly in the evening when commercials are on TV. I sing the old romantic song. "The more I see you", "Amore", "There's a tree in the meadow", "If I loved you", "Again" etc... I have an uncanny habit of remembering lyrics....

I sing and dance a little bit when I hear a good song on a TV commercial or on the radio. I can't sing very well, so I keep it down, but I've got the music in me a lot of times and can sing and dance with no accompaniment. :jammin:

Oh yes! When I'm sitting here at my computer playing my "oldies" music I sing right along with it and enjoy every minute of it!!! It's just hard to keep my mouth shut when I'm listening to them "oldies".

Not that I am conscious of. However, I was once stopped by the police while driving and charged with using a mobile phone. I was not and do not use a mobile. The police claimed that they saw me driving with my hand at my ear and my lips were moving. So, I may do it subconsciously while driving. However, the police still charged me! :(

I used to always sing in the shower; but I seldom do that anymore. Maybe because I try to take very short showers nowdays.
When I was a kid, my mom and dad always sang together, and especially when we were driving somewhere, we sang in the car.
I loved hearing them sing the old-time songs like “Old Black Joe” . I was just singing that to myself (quietly so as not to disturb my husband) in the car the other day, and thinking how long it had been since I have even heard that song.
Not since my folks used to sing it, I imagine.
Anyway, when I had my own kids, we did the same thing, and they grew up singing Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson songs.
I still love to sing, and I think that it does not require being “good at it”, it only requires that a person enjoys the singing.

You reminded me of the days when my kids were young, average age 10; on long trips we played a game we called Four Corner Sing Around. Me and my oldest son sat up front, my two younger kids in the back (son and daughter) with a nephew who lived with us at the time. Everyone took turns singing a song, and you couldn't say "I pass" two turns in a row. The nephew "passed" every other song his first time playing; he was embarrassed to sing in front of people, and didn't know more than a few songs; so my kids practiced with him at home. His favorite song was "Teen Angel"

He was 9 then, and lived with us til he was 17. He's 41 now, and says his favorite memory of all time is playing Four Corner Sing Around. He has twin girls, and he and his wife played the game with them when they were young.

Thinking about it now, I realize I hardly ever used the radio/cassette player in my cars when the kids were little.

Yes. In the Christmas pageant we used to perform at our church, the director wanted me to take a speaking part (as a Pharisee). He said, "_____ , don't worry, I won't let you be in a scene where you have to sing, I heard you once when I was standing near you, but your speaking voice I can use."
