Do You Have A Favorite Columnist?

Two of my favorites are Frank Bruni and Gail Collins, both from the NY Times. Also like Charles Blow and an occasional David Brooks column.

I guess you are able to communicate with the dead eh Imp? How's Walter Cronkite?

Ha, Ha! Lon, REAL imps can do strange and marvelous things; but I cannot. You asked "favorite", no mention of current folks. imp

Walter Winchell, and Gabriel Heatter. imp

EDIT: Everbuddy knows Winchell, but Heatter:

Heatter was on the radio, he spoke with a sing-song voice.

Do you actually remember him? I was maybe 8 or 9, before we got our first T-V, and was glued to the big old Stromberg-Carlson table-top radio in the living room. At the end of his presentation, he always said, "This is Gabriel Heatter speaking"!

I marveled at what I perceived a Biblical figure, Gabriel, having to do with a HEATER!

The other guy, Walter Winchell, always began his talk with the exclamation, "FLASH". This news just in!...............How my Dad hated that term, Flash. imp
