I am similar ...I approach it somewhat differently. Instead of 'what if' I ask 'what's the worst that could happen' and then plan from there.
I agree, @Jeni.I am similar ...
I do think of what ifs because I have been surrounded by people in my life that always assume everything will be fine.......... and lose their grip when it doesn't.
They end up often making further bad choices in a situation ....... because they did not plan for the worst and make choice under stress.
More often then not the worst NEVER happens but by being ready for it makes it go so much smoother.
If i plan for worst and then the best happens........ it elevates that experience also.
I so agree. When younger and responsible for lives I brought into the world, so many "what ifs" needed to be teased out and contingency plans made.Stop heading down that path. Planning is one thing, driving yourself nuts worrying about endless possibilities is quite another. I deal with life as it comes. Having a financial cushion helps, and knowing my daughter is capable and caring is also comforting.
Never even heard of it.Anyone see the movie "Sliding Doors" (1998...Gweneth Paltrow)...taking two paths
Address please, I will send one to get your fortune started. The only thing you have to do is buy me a good pizza when your rolling in the dough. LOLWhat if every working person in the U.S. gave me a dollar. They'd never miss it, but I'd make extremely good use of the 100s of millions. So what do you say, America?
All of my early true loves would have made for disastrous relationships in the long-term. We broke up for good reasons. There's always that first true love that fell aside.
