I live in Florida and have never seen so many fans or had so many fans. With the humidity, they are great though and sometimes it's too cold with the ac going 24/7...I live with others...I never had a ceiling fan in California..

I have lived in FL and NY and have had ceiling fans in both places. I grew up in FL in the 60's and don't remember ceiling fans back then. Then lived there in the 90's and one came with our house. I don't have one here (NY) though but my ceilings are very high and 3 different levels (a studio apartment). In other houses in NY, I had ceiling fans.

I love my ceiling fans in warm weather months. I keep my AC setting at 78, so a ceiling an comes in handy. The fan in the master is on every night. Makes sleeping a whole lot better.

I have one in the kitchen. In my former home, they were all over the place. I never could figure out how to get them to rotate the opposite way in the winter, which was very frustrating. No manuals, but I knew how to Google it. Got nothing. Maybe, for some odd reason, that wasn't a feature of my fans.

Yes, in all the bedrooms, upstairs (2nd for)..use when it's warmer...
especially at night..(heat rises).. feels better for sleeping!

Yes I have ceiling fans.. and stand alone tower fans... we have no AC here... but in my house in Spain where we have AC, we still have ceiling fans in every room

Same here with the addition of one in the dining area also. Also have floor fans in the main bedroom and the living room. They all help to cut down on A/C in our 100+-degree summers.

Almost every room here in Florida. A couple years ago we replaced them with ones you remotely control the speed. We only use the fans in the room we are in.

We live in a suburb of Pennsylvania and except for the bathroom we have a ceiling fan in every room plus a central air conditioner.

We have had them in the last 5 homes we have had. 4 in Florida and 1 in Arizona.
In our current condo we have them in both bedrooms, the Florida room, the living room and in the dining room one with a separately switched chandelier.
In one place there was a wall switch next to the head of the bed, which was convenient.
We never run them fast. We also have central AC.
In Arizona we had one under the roof on the patio in addition to the ones inside the house.

Funny how creature comfort varies. I'm glad I'm comfortable at 81/82 with my fans on. Helps on electric bill.

Like others here, I have my share of ceiling fans in my apartment ... could never sleep w/o one on during the night.

People are always saying I made the Utah house look like my old Florida house, guess I did. I like them even here, in winter they can redistribute the heat, and in summer we use them just like Florida. Not sure I needed 19, but in the remodel I put one every place I could.

Ceiling fans literally help me breathe better.

And not just at night either.
