Do you say oh or Zero?

Let's be honest, only lazy people say, Oh, Zero is the correct pronunciation of Oh
So please smarten up your language skills and stop shortening your words

Oh doesn’t bother me. Zer-oh. It’s just a shorter form of the word.

What bugs me is someone spelling a name or phone number saying Double. For example, Gra double s for Grass or Double 88 for for 6883.

Depends on what I am saying. Most of the time it is zero, but on occasion it sounds better to me to say oh.

Usually, for my phone number, I say "oh." I only have one 0 in my phone number, and it's in that 3-digit area code at the beginning, which is familiar to most people, around here anyway.

But if I'm providing my credit card number or something like that, I usually say zero, because that number could be either.

Call yourself an Australian? Lazy speech is de rigeur in OZ, as you well know.

As for my mobile number, I commence with Oh then use zero for the numerical zeros in the rest.
