When you give your phone number to someone do you say Oh 4465.... or Zero 4465....?
Let's be honest, only lazy people say, Oh, Zero is the correct pronunciation of Oh:unsure:
So please smarten up your language skills and stop shortening your words :)

I usually say zero but then I think about my apartment number which has zero in middle .
Lets say it is apt #202 so in giving it over phone I would say 2oh2 and my friend is in 5oh6
Just habit I guess:unsure:
Same.

Oh doesn’t bother me. Zer-oh. It’s just a shorter form of the word.

What bugs me is someone spelling a name or phone number saying Double. For example, Gra double s for Grass or Double 88 for for 6883.

Usually, for my phone number, I say "oh." I only have one 0 in my phone number, and it's in that 3-digit area code at the beginning, which is familiar to most people, around here anyway.

But if I'm providing my credit card number or something like that, I usually say zero, because that number could be either.

Call yourself an Australian? Lazy speech is de rigeur in OZ, as you well know.

As for my mobile number, I commence with Oh then use zero for the numerical zeros in the rest.
