Being a atheist, I don't believe in hell or heaven or pergatory or limbo or any other such thing. But I was taught as a child that hell is eternal separation from god, not a place.

That's kinda what I think hell means ...a symbolic fire a soul gets 'stuck in' if our lives are characterized by anger, envy, resentment, othering etc. ...all those negative emotions that cause you to 'burn' when you feel them. Those separate you from God, 'collective unconscious' or whatever. But most importantly, they separate you from other people who are a part of God.

There are plenty of places in the Bible that talk about hell. The worst of the worst, it’s eternity it’s burning sulfur separation from God and the worst nightmare you could ever imagine. And yes I believe it.

I have always felt and said it often that I believe we are living in hell here on earth. I don't think there is another place where you would have to endure the pain you have here on earth. Where else could you feel the pain of the loss of a loved one like you do here on earth.

When I was a kid, I had to attend Sunday school at the local Catholic school. One classroom had a banner above the chalkboard that showed the sinners writhing in the flames of Hell. Even as a kid, I thought that was pretty twisted and sick to display such a thing.

I guess I have a different word....I believe in God the oh Mighty....I was brought up with religion...now I really don't, but
still believe....
Sassy, we all are going to die....Someone in your's and my family will die before us...Mom, Dad, Brother and many family
we use to have....It can come tomorrow or me and you can live to 100....(of course I don't think I will)…..
All I can do, is pray....I know many don't pray, but it's my Parogative… Pain has many faults....Some we can't over come...

NO! I believe in the hell on earth right now. I have experienced it in cities with traffic, loud bad music in stores/malls & massive advertising on buses, trucks, cars & billboards. Hell is here today. There is no hell when you go! Hell was invented by priest years ago to keep the peasants in line.
