Do you talk to yourself?

Do you talk to yourself?

It takes me a while to type out something. I have to stop and go look and see how it turned out. I have a cataract in my left eye that makes it kind of difficult. But I do okay,

I've lived by myself for a while now. I had three cats. But one by one, they went. When Fuzzybuddy passed, I was going to get another cat, or 2. But then, my health isn't that great. I'm 71. I can't be lugging 25 lb. bags of litter a round. I'm getting hard of hearing-the TV is super loud. Should I subject an animal to that? So I decided not to get a pet. And then I started to talk to my self-a lot. Do you talk to yourself?
I think we all do in one way or another. Especially silently, like we may do while reading a book.

Now and again I say something out aloud, especially when I need to urgently change my mind.
Also, I laugh at myself a far bit, especially whenever I do something unmindfully _ and getting things wrong or twisted.

A good friend lives alone, and she still misses her late husband, even though he passed on many years ago. When I visit her, I often hear her talk to herself, or to her passed husband. She told me that it comforts her to do so.

I think we all talk to ourselves, but some of us just do it out loud.
Exactly this. I used to talk to myself out loud more often before. Lately, I feel like there's enough noise pollution around without me adding to it. But I'm talking to myself either way.

*I'm pretty sure I already posted to this thread. I hope I'm not contradicting myself, but I'm too lazy to read through 9 pages to see what I wrote.

After losing my last cat I have no excuse but I sometimes speak aloud anyway. If I know the answer on Jeopardy I shout it out whether anyone is here or not. When I log on with DuckDuckGo they text me a 6 digit code. I need to say it aloud or I forget it before it disappears. So I think there is some advantage in using your voice to remember things. Sometimes our brains can use a little re-enforcement.
