Do you think it is worth it to try to look younger

After having had medically necessary surgeries for a hip replacement, knee replacement and breast cancer I CAN'T IMAGINE deciding to have surgery that wasn't medically necessary just to try to look younger. I'M NOT YOUNGER - why pretend? Who am I trying to fool.

I got botox injections to treat migraines, and they hurt! Needles in my temples, forehead and back of neck...OUCH!

If people can't accept my sags and wrinkles, too bad...

Wow some of those before and younger and older shots were disturbing......
especially those who had more work done it would frighten children.
I know that many celebrities are different in it may be more about their livelihood but I think many just feel sad for them seeing them look all fake and plastic. I would rather remember them looking human. I can only guess that the more disturbing the AFTER photo. the more the photographer got paid. I really don't like if family photos catch me at an awkward angle let alone thinking millions might see this horrible picture......
I believe one can age gracefully and if people want to dye their hair it works on some not on others. some people are just more realistic then trying to pull off a color that just does not suit them.
I doubt many would like to be compared to a photo in their prime vs today. Most people fill out a bit even if they work to keep it off and gravity is not always kind. It is hard sometimes to realize maybe more days are in the past then in front of you without having to pretend you are still the same as when you were younger.

I played around with highlights and hair colors since I was a teen, of course when I started to see some gray I just continued to do what I was doing. My husband loves my color and so do I, so I'll continue doing it until I'm unable to on my own. I agree about the exercise, even mild exercise like brisk walking daily can make a big difference in appearance, regardless of actual weight loss.
'Tis a hereditary thing...I had jet black hair then at the age of twenty, silver streaks began showing through. I guess it was when in my late twenties that I began dyeing my hair and continued until I was 50 yrs of age then said, "Enough already". As the dyes slowly left, my hair came through a snowy white and people asked where I had it done...today, I still have totally white hair. I have two daughters in their 50s...one has natural silver hair and the other keeps hers jet black...no way is anyone going to see white roots.
