Do you think Kate Middleton is a fashion icon/plate?

No, I don't think she is. she always looks rather nice, but wears very conservative clothing for her age.With a slim figure and unlimited money, of course she will always look nice, but think the Royal Family are making sure she doesn't become another fashion icon like the late Diana.
 
Kate isn't going to make the mistakes Diana did. But then again.. I don't think William will make the mistakes Charles did either.
 

I kind of like it, and the lucky girl has a waist still, lol! But it might be because I am reading a book that the protaganist runs a Vintage Clothing store, and I am loving the descriptions of the clothing from the 50s, 60s and some even later, or, earlier.

I think simple is elegant, the 3-quarter length sleeves I love. I guess I would say she is going to be a fashion diva for some, and not so for others;)
 
No, she doesn't have the style.

However, there is little doubt she will influence fashion, particularity everyday, "on the street" fashion for years to come.

Popular lass, well on her way to becoming as much loved as the Queen Mum.
 
I don't care about fashion but they say with just about anything she wears a duplicate quickly shows up in stores and they sell out fast.
 
I love Margaret Atwood. I've devoured everything she's ever written. But I'm not so sure this is a valid criticism. Of course, I'm not much of a fashionista myself but Kate always looks lovely to me. If she were more daring, she'd catch criticism for that too, so I think she dresses beautifully and wisely. What more could anyone ask of her?
 
I think Kate is very pretty and she always looks great. As a public figure, she’s not likely to go out in sweatpants and hair curlers.

With people like Kate, Amal Clooney, and even Michelle Obama people tend to pay a lot of attention to how they look and what they are wearing. Often the label of “fashion icon” is tossed around a bit too freely.
 
I like her style, not high fashion, which I find ridiculous, but very attractive and relateable, and not trying to prove anything or show off - I like that. I'm sure she'd like to loosen up a bit though, but has to be appropriate for the events.
 
???? Adorn? How many of the male images on the currency could be referred to as adornments?

Kate is lovely but she will age eventually and may end up looking more like George Washington.
Will she still be an adornment then?

Seriously, if a woman is to be honoured by having her image on currency,
please let her be a woman of achievement even if she is ugly as a toad.

Me too cookie because she's so slim that she had no more butt than a child...

Perhaps people were sick of the sight of pictures of Kim Kardashians' Ginormous butt adorning the tabloids and the antithesis was more appealing to them.. :rofl:
 
Kate does look nice but i think she is held back from maybe her own choice of clothes.
A little conservative i think, there are colours and clothing that i am sure would suit her better
and enhance her good looks.
