I switch back-n-forth. I like any soap that is going to make me smell clean and fragrant.
I've mentioned this before. Like you, so called "Body wash" is a just silly. It's basically watered down bar soap as far as I'm concerned. Bar soap all the way for me. And not fancy stuff either. Imperial Leather for me. It's a long way from being special in modern terms, but what it does well is get me clean. Why change?
Yikes. Not personally a fan. Too claustrophobic, may as well be mothballs.Lavender essential oil
My daughter, a nurse, told me that bacteria love wet bar soap.I have this strange thing about soap pieces on soap place holders or on the sink soap dips. I can't stand it. I wash out the soap holder and let it dry, then place clean dry soap in them. Those little soap marks drive me crazy![]()
Japanese Long Strip Rubbing Bath Towel, Back Exfoliating Scrubber, Body Back Scrubber Towel For Shower, Bath. l use body wash and place a few drops of it onto the scrubber, and moosh it up until it suds up. Bar soap doesn't work as well for that. Of course if you can't control yourself you could use half the bottle of body wash at one time. ln that case, stick to the bar of soap.
... I switched to a castille soap. Fewer chemical ingredients.
I need to try the bars. Never cared for the liquid, though I donāt remember why.Same here (Dr Bronner's) and buy bulk refills for the dispensers. I also use the bars.
My husband says the same thing about laundry - he puts in the hamper and not too many days later those same clothes reappear in the closet or his drawers. Likewise my gas tank. I mention that it's dropping near 1/4 of a tank, and the next time I drive somewhere, it's magically full!I use that body wash stuff, but a bar of soap for my face.
For some reason, when I hit around 40 or so, my face started getting flaky. My wife gave me a bar of Dove soap, and I've never had a flaky face since. I've also never had to buy a bar. A new one just magically appears every so often. LOL.
But isn't soap self cleaning? My daughter, a nurse, told me that bacteria love wet bar soap.
Soap doesn't kill bacteria. But isn't soap self cleaning?![]()
It was a bad joke.Soap doesn't kill bacteria.
I believe the way soap cleans is by lifting dirt and bacteria off the skin and into the soap suds, and then being rinsed off and sent down the drain.
Dove soap is known for the moisturizers it contains. Itās what I use. If you believe the hype it co twins more moisturizers than any other bar soap.I use that body wash stuff, but a bar of soap for my face.
