Do you use bar soap or body wash when you bathe?

Already posted that Dove body wash is our choice. Not mentioned by many is what is used with either bar soap od body wash?
We use his & hers exfoliating pads & sanitize regularly.

I don't like the butt crack cleaning mental picture Ronni paints.

"I don’t use body wash and a scrubber or washcloth like “everybody” does!

Nope. I just use a bar of soap which I rub everywhere, use my hands to lather it up, rinse off and I’m done!"
That exactly the same way I use my Dove bar soap @Knight! I generalized with the “everybody uses body wash” thing because all my family, and the friends I’ve talked to, they all use body wash and a scrubber or washcloth! Even Ron does! So I feel very much in the minority, or did till I posted here! 😉

My DIL's father bought a case of soap made with volcanic ash. No idea why. He gave DDIL & DS a bunch but they use liquid soap in the shower so they gave it to us. Free soap that's fine for the shower? Yes, please.

It would have culturally been poor manners to turn down a gift from her parents.
This was probably an African Black soap that is supposed to contain plants, ash and other healthy properties. Once I bought a six back for ~$8. I thought it was a great deal. Many months later I noticed that the packs were sold in singles for $8. Guess Mr Walton missed out on that profit.

I know it makes a colossal mess.

We received medium brown, Korean made soap. Not messy at all for shower use. No idea what it would cost to purchase because Google doesn't show it.

I have Dove Body Wash in our guest bath and also in the RV. DH & I both find it slick on our skin and harder to rinse off than bar soap so I'm going to pull it out of there before we RV again. I'll bring the body wash into the house as guest bath backup, and put bar soap in the RV's shower. Will need a soap dish for the RV shower though. Adding that to my dollar store list...

Speaking of soaps and baths. How often you bathe or shower? Aside from maybe heated summertime, we do only every 2nd or 3rd day. The climate here alone is very drying,so over doing it makes it worse.

I take a shower everyday. Hot showers and winter weather make my skin dry too, but I always slather lots of lotion on.

I shower and wash my hair every day. The only time I might take a bath is when travelling and my body feels tired. It seems like a good idea but only lasts ten minutes max. The beauty is that I’m at a hotel and don’t have to scrub the tub afterwards.

Since I tend to get dirty I prefer bar soap and a wash rag. For years I used Irish Spring soap since I was a manly man, but now I'm a sensitive guy so have switched to Kirk's soap. Honestly Kirk's is the best soap I have ever used, it produces lots of suds which carries the dirt away and leaves my skin feeling mosturized.
Where do you purchase your Kirk’s soap from?

I like using pure Castile Soap especially ones made with coconut oil.

For bathing, I primarily use One With Nature, a big 7-ounce bar. They have a variety of soaps that are scented or fragrance-free. My favorites are Eucalyptus, Activated Charcoal, and French Green Clay.

Hand soap is Kirk's.👍

I never use hot water...more extra warm and di use cersve cream ..guess not enough
I know we are not suppose to take hot showers because it is drying to the skin, but it feels sooooo good on an aching body sometimes, and is warming and relaxing the cold winter months.
