Does knowing an entertainer's sexual orientation affect how you view their performance?

An actor's sexual orientation has no bearing on how I view their performance. I prefer to stay out of their private lives. Kind of a Canuck reticence I suspect, that, and the fact that we have had same sex marriage for over a decade.
