This is a reverse painting on glass. The outer size of the frame is 30.5 x 26.5 inches.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 = too ostentatious, 10 = breathtakingly beautiful) how does it strike you?

It is in focus, the paint is just not very defined. Look at the frame - that shows it's in focus. Here's a close-up:

If I could see it in person I probably would like it better since it's glass and larger than what is here. I'll give it a 6.

It is a rather spooky scene and I am sure that if I could see it without the camera I would appreciate the luminosity that glass can impart. As it is, I prefer not to give it a rating.

It's not framed properly. It's all frame and no painting.

A frame is supposed to enhance a painting not take away from it.

Those type of paintings have to be viewed live in order to properly assess it.

When I moved to a new house, there was tons of wall space to fill
and I bought a lot of art via Ebay. Most of it vintage art which I love.

As for the OP's art... the subject matter is great... but the art style
does not appeal to me.
