They want to make sure you get there on time, so you can sit and WAIT ON THEM for 2 damn hours.

Pretty standard in my experience for all medical appointments. After making an opticians appointment during the week, I wrote the details on my calendar, a couple of days later I received an e mail to remind me I had an appointment stating the date and time, now they’ve just phoned me, again to remind me of my appointment !!
Am I missing something here ? Is there an amnesia epidemic or something ? or is this normal practice these days ?
I always mark down any appointments on my wall calendar and am always there and on time, usually early. I don't have that many appointments though. After making an opticians appointment during the week, I wrote the details on my calendar, a couple of days later I received an e mail to remind me I had an appointment stating the date and time, now they’ve just phoned me, again to remind me of my appointment !!

get a tent, park outside, then you wont forget lolGuess what I’ve just received ? another reminder of my appointment tomorrow ! at this rate I’ll be getting an alarm call to make sure I don’t oversleep and an escort turning up to make sure I haven’t forgotten the way to the opticians ...![]()

Maybe he really, really likes you, Wren,, and is pining away watching the seconds drag by in anticipation of the magical moment when you walk through the door! If God forbid, you forgot the appointment, he would be devastated.
My dentist will always call my house as a reminder, honestly, I find it annoying, but I guess there are lots of people out there who are unreliable or late, and the professionals don't want to take up a slot in their schedule for a no show who claimed they 'forgot'.
A dentist kept calling me, (the machine called) over and over telling me about an appointment. Was ignored when I called to tell them about it.
They lose money I suppose if an appointment
is missed.
My Dentist charges around £25 for a missed
appointment.

Nurse would have taken his blood anyway.
I put my appointment cards in front of my coffee pot, in order of earlier ones to later ones. I would just call them and make sure of the time. Sometimes it is just a thing they do, unless it was a different date and time. After making an opticians appointment during the week, I wrote the details on my calendar, a couple of days later I received an e mail to remind me I had an appointment stating the date and time, now they’ve just phoned me, again to remind me of my appointment !!

I get texted a date and time and am asked to text back the word Confirm if I accept the date or call the phone number if I need to reschedule. I usually just text confirm.I love the push 1, push 2, thing. Means I don't have to talk to anyone...so I thought. They call me the next day to ask if I'm sure.
Hey, everyone...don't forget to get your flu shots...lol!
