Professor Martyn Poliakoff discusses the search for the so-called "island of stability". (Note his Periodic Table tie!:))

I was of course taken by his hair, being very deficient in that department myself. But then I noticed his necktie, subtle but says a lot. I hope they find their island of stability, because I don't see that they're accomplishing much by manufacturing huge atoms that degenerate in a tiny fraction of a nano second. On the subject of islands of stability, I'm hoping I'll find one now that I've reached 80, but now I'm rambling again.

Oh, Sure. I understand all of that and I don't even have a lot of hair or even a necktie like his.

But whenever I think about it, I have to slip into my lead-lined jock strap to keep me from becoming a soprano.

His hair....his tie....and of course his SOCKS!:)

Gargantuanium Gg sounds like a winner Josiah! A little long for a teeshirt, but you got my vote!:)

That was a brilliant blur Phil! Thanks! I remember hearing it on the radio many years back.

You're welcome - he was a genius.

Of course, the periodic table has changed a bit since I studied it in high school and college - it's getter tougher and tougher to remember all those elements. :(
