Embarrassing question about stools

I buy Now supplements as well, but not the psyllium. What do you put it in to take it....cold drink, hot drink, hot cereal?? @PeppermintPatty @IKE
@Mitch86 and @Amanda76 I've been taking Senna for a couple of years. It works gently and well when I remember to take it.
:poop:
There is a serious choking danger with psyllium. My opinion is that a small amount like a quarter teaspoon should be thoroughly stirred into COLD water and taken all at once and immediately. If you were to let it warm up a little you would see that it turns gel-like very quickly.
There is a dangerous lead content in many psyllium products.

My former/retired PCP recommended Senna, but it did not work for me, but for the others.

My current Gastroentrogist recommended one is MiraLax, not one cup but up to 4 cups per day, but I did not like it because it's needed a lot of water to flush the waste out.
The other was Dulcolax.
Both of OTC Laxatives did work, but partial for me. After that, I seeked for G.I. doctor for Rx med which works, but I need higher dosage. I plan to make an appointment coming month, either end of May or early June.

There are a variety of supplements on Amazon site, but my G.I. doctor told me be careful, ... supplements. Some of those are as potent as any Rx meds, particulary if there is/are existing health issue.

Along with Rx med. I also take Phisyllim, 2 capsules per day.
