Ever sit in a room…..

I'm never at home without some type of distraction. It's usually TV. However, when I go out into the courtyard or walk by the lake near our house I just enjoy hearing the sounds of nature. I can't imagine complete silence. That's not to say I don't admire those who can sit in total silence and just reflect. I tried meditation but my brain never shuts down.
 
There are different forms of meditation – most people associate meditating with breathing exercises – but walking beside a lake, listing to birdsong is also a form of mindfulness meditation
