Father/son charged with murder of jogger, Ahmaud Arbery

They didn't allow him to leave the situation. That's unlawful imprisonment or kidnapping. Then they shot him.
Under Georgia code it could be considered false imprisonment, yes, but not kidnapping. They were charged with attempted kidnapping in the federal trial though.

Well it has been awhile. When I did socialize from my teens to my 50's I would say about 50 - 50. I am a musician and I played in several bands with different races. I have mainly black friends and have most of my life. I am being buried in a predominantly black cemetery with poor white people like myself.

Well, in all honestly IMO your situation is unique . I can see a musician "mixing" with many folks of different ethnic backgrounds. And yes I suppose friendships would flourish . But again, I think that is a unique situation.

At the risk of stepping on some toes here ..... I gotta say, most of the non-white people that I met through the years were not the kind I chose to get friendly with , I chose to avoid them.

Rgp, if that isn't pure racism loud and clear, I don't know what is.

And before you ask, yes, I am white and I often mingle with non-white people. My community is a beautiful mixture of races, ethnicities, etc. and, we often interact socially with those who aren't our own. Who cares?

The subject never seems to come up, at least not among the people I choose to spend my time with. And, to get back to your original statement, quoted above, I choose to avoid people who are consumed with hate and violence, who are doing their best to destroy what is good in this country. Most of them happen to be white. We all make our choices according to what is important to us.

And if all the non-white people you have ever met are so awful that you have to avoid them, it really does sound like you have to get out more! Trying to justify the murder of an innocent jogger because of his race demonstrates your own racism, and does nothing but stoke the fires of hatred and violence. It's hard to believe that you are actually boasting about it. But then, nothing should be hard to believe any more.

But you only see what you perceive as racisim in my statement ..... Where-as my statement was based entirely on behavior.

As a local radio talk-show host once proclaimed ....

It is not the color of your skin , but the content of your character that creates the opinion/perception of whom you are & what you are about.

Well you couldn't be more wrong .... I "got out" more than most. And I have never tried to "justify" his alleged murder , as I have never believed he was in-fact murdered. IMO, had he not grabbed the gun, that was pointed at him .... he would very likely still be alive. And again opinion, that takes murder out of the scenario .

The fires of hatred & violence are only "stoked" because people choose to "stoke" them, as opposed to looking for & at the entire truth.

Don't get me wrong, I believe he was simply a "jogger" not a thief , and the two idiots had little to no right to detain him. However had he just waited for the actual police to show up, again he would IMO still be alive.
