Fed up? Feel free to vent here, and get it off your chest!

I'm really fed up, because I've just learned that another 350 house are to be built on the Field at the end of my road.. ( about 200 yards away)... all these new houses and flats ( 130 flats apparently ) added to the 400 houses they built last year at the opposite side... .. with a potential for 4 people each property.. in this new estate yet no new schools, doctors, shops.. or even widened roads to take this amount of people
well if they all produce lots of children ya on a winner!!

I hate Britain's Got Talent, which has begun again, but feel I must watch with my husband as he likes it.
To me it is a competition by the stupid, often mad, for the empty headed airheads. The noise, screaming, false crying and dumb excitement over rubbish jarrs my nerves. It represents everything I hate about this day and age of fools strutting on stage, thinking they have talent. I especially worry about small children whose infant egos are dangerously inflated by eager parents who do not surely realise what sacrifice and damage fame could mean.

The two female judges are appalling, the one man keeps leaping up and down off his seat. The acts cannot be viewed without the camera panning over to the idiot judges faces and open mouths and stupid audience faces.

Is that enough of a rant!
UGH! My SO enjoys that show and the American version. I can't stand either.

ATT. About a month ago I got an email from them saying that they had been hacked and my data had been comprimised.

Then a couple weeks later they email me saying they are raising their rates.

But, if I will give them by credit card info and allow them to automatically deduct my bill that will offset $5 a month of the rate increase. And better yet, if I give them a debit card to charge they will offset the increase by $10 bucks a month. Seriously? After you got yourself hacked and compromised my data you think I'm going to trust you with my credit card or debit card info?

I want to rant about young people and tobacco. I thought they had all been educated from preschool on that tobacco is a bad thing that stinks to high heaven and will kill you PAINFULLY I smoked for twenty-five years and was harped at constantly to quit so I did. Lord knows it's not easy, in fact, it was one of the hardest things I've ever done, so why did they ever start?

Don't get me started on plastic country music white kids pop.

This morning I observed two gas station that were right across the street from one another. One had gas for $2.94.9 per gallon and it was as busy as a bee hive. All the pumps were occupied and there were people in line or circling around waiting for one to open up. The one on the other side of the street gas was 10 cents more at $3.04.9 and it was deserted like an Old West Ghost Town. It's just funny to me how people will fight crowds and wait in line to save a few cents on gas.

But that's not my rant. My rant is why $2.94.9 and $3.04.9? For Christ sake just make it $2.95 and $3.05. How much gas do you get for a tenth of a penny? A teaspoon full? This tenth of a cent pricing was silly back in the day when gas was running around 30 cents a gallon. Nowadays with it running $3 a gallon it's beyond ridiculous. There ought to be a law making it illegal to price anything at fractions of a cent.

Oh my gosh some of you are talking about destroying the social order of our Christian nation by moving away from the patriarchal order ordained in the Bible. Might that anger God and bring His punishment upon us? Our dresses should be modest and our hair should be long. We should submit to our husbands and have as many children as we can so the inferior people do not outnumber us. 😉
Who said that?

I just can't understand modern 'music'.
Have tried my most patient accepting best, but the tunes (60's & 70's rock)
simply warm my being - foot tapping, air guitar playing, head bobbing
great-memories MUSIC is the only genre for me!

I turned on the TV. I was going to exercise.
There was a news program and there was a cleanup going on at the University of Pennsylvania after the protests on their campus.
They were tossing perfectly good, new looking tents, and other fine things, into the back of a garbage truck that was crushing them down.

You're saying hearlady, is that the thing that bothered you in that whole situation? YES!!!!

It speaks to the way of the world. We trash things like the campus, then we trash things like the new shit some deep state supplied to them.
There are people who would love to have a new tent or a new yeti cooler but can't afford.
Going forward, put a plan in place to reuse, recycle that stuff. That's all I'm sayin'. 🕵

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - that'll do for now!

I think this "forbidden subject" is on everyone's mind here, and I will attempt to "get it off my chest" without breaking rules or offending anyone. Here goes:

No matter what happens this year, I fear for the future of our country. Politics has gotten especially nasty and corrupt over recent years. All the "good" men and women that could lead us are just not going to put their name in the hat - for doing so would have them and their families suffer the agonies and indignations of being a candidate.

It all makes me sick, and I'm sad to say that I am thankful that I'm old (80), and won't have all that long to endure the crap that Washington and Austin (Tx) politics has in store for us.

Is God no longer blessing America?

Is God no longer blessing America?
As is true of most countries, only some Americans have felt God was blessing this country. More than half were far less "blessed" the moment colonization began.

I otherwise agree with your post and am terrified at the direction this country has taken over the past few years. America always wanted smart, strong, upstanding leaders in office, not whiners of questionable morals who complain endlessly about being victimized or that "it's not fair!" like six year olds. Good grief.

🎶C'mon people now
Smile on your brother🎵

I wish, right?
I don't wish to pull this thread aside, but can't help mentioning that I talked on the phone with the guy who wrote that song, Chet Powers. A mutual friend had a phone with a button that allowed a three-way conversation.

Anyhow, I do share the sentiment the song expresses.

Our postal service does not seem to be working any longer, except for ads, junk mail, etc. My daughter sent me a Mothers Day card on Monday. Today it's six days later, and I still haven't gotten it. It did have to fly across the country, but come on!

The rate increase but the service gets worse.

Dear customer service, skip the "just scan our QR code." If I wanted more digital anything in my life, I wouldn't have called you.
After you key in your account number, that you had to look up, then wade through layers of automated options, and finally get a live warm body on the end of the line they want your account number, address, name of your first born, and the color of the shirt you're you wearing. All that said it recorded for someone's training purpose. When the first CSR can't help you, look forward to all these steps again so that their manager can solve the world's worst problem. I think you get my point, it's a two hour labor of endurance to find out you just need to reboot it all for the third time.
