Fed up? Feel free to vent here, and get it off your chest!

Fed up with?
  • People driving with their cell phones in their faces. They are always the ones poking along when the light turns green and driving all over the road. Most have the "hands free" ability in their cars but they don't use it.
  • Soccer moms with huge SUVs and maybe 2 kids (see Point 1)
  • People who feel the need to back into parking spots
  • People who go into Self Checkout with a cart full of groceries
  • Anyone walking along with their faces planted in their phones. They are always the ones most likely to run into you.
  • Big tables of loud people who act like they are the only ones in the restaurant
  • Construction crews that close down a lane and aren't working on it
  • Cars with unnecessarily loud mufflers
  • Cars with "booming" sound systems
  • People who are next in line that are still talking on their phones.
  • Drivers that poke along in the left lane.
Yes, I'm not good with other people. :ROFLMAO:

 You're an old curmudgeon, it's okay, it's expected

Yes, but
1) the drivers don't know that, and
2) property owners have duties of care
I think most drivers try to pick up obstacles in the road, but
a) it might be dangerous to stop and/or pull over, and
b) the driver might be in a hurry
why are you telling me that...I was replying to oldeagle... if you want to tell anyone that tell Hawkie....

My damned laptop and printer. Just once can they just do what I need without wasting my time!
My feelings exactly. I had Geek Squad out today to t ry to get them to play nicely together. He decided it was a router issue and after an hour of fiddling around I have to w ait for tomorrow for the Verizon tech to find out if it is a router issue. But when I shut off the printer my laptop could connect again. This is just what I told him at the beginning. There is something wrong with the printer connection that fouls up everything else. So two hours wasted, and more tomorrow and nothing accomplished and i still cannot use the printer. Life sucks.

Really??? You can't talk to someone without a disagreement????? I feel sorry for you.
😂 May I point out you think we have a disagreement and you attacked me. While everyone else gives me likes and that is the end of discussion. How does a "like" further discussion? They make us feel good but they don't further discussion.

I prefer disagreements that are a matter of reasoning because they do require a response, to being insulted, which should probably be ignored. I always being my visits here by looking for replies to what I said that require a response. The disagreement can be a shared dislike and agreement, such as "I am afraid of falling because....." and the next person tells her/his own story. Then someone can agree and share thoughts that are agreeable. But a "like"? Where does the discussion go from there?

Not always. It seems there are a lot of people who do this sort of thing...

Of course not always. Your vido lead to me watching one about a man in Alaska saving the lives of a mother bear and her cubs. I think even if something happens only once in a awhile, it does happen. How often it happens may depend on the neighborhood and circumstances.

I believe that is far more likely in Alaska than any other state. At least among the people who live off the grid and are closer to nature. My late wife wanted to move to Alaska, and I told her that we couldn't make it up there. She said Juneau would be similar to Eureka. And my reply was "Yeah, and it's even more isolated than Eureka is."

There are only four roads going in and out of Eureka, and in winter all of them are iffy at best as to when or if you can get out. But Juneau has no roads at all, and the only way in or out was by plane or boat. So I told her if she wanted to take a cruise up there we could do that, but at the time cruise ships were having health safety issues and we never went.

All the TV commercials for off-road cars and trucks always show them at high speed on a bumpy dirt road, or blasting through water or snow. NO ONE over the age of 5 ever drives like that in the non-TV world! It makes serious off-roaders look like they are trashing nature.

yes well remember every time you make a joke about cars having steering on the wrong side, or roads etc.. you owe me £1...... and just remember too to save yourself some money, you might do well to remember we had roads and houses, and shops. before you even had a country.. so whose driving on the wrong side huh? :sneaky::p
Well Holly, we do drive on the right over here...

I've done this... somehow they *do* (usually) understand the words for wanting to speak with someone else. I've said "I can't understand you. You can't understand me. Transfer me to someone who knows what I'm saying." A few years ago there was a call that was extra stressful. Finally they understood what I was trying to say (give me an English speaker!) and after a little more time, I heard "Hi, this is Angie, how can I assist you?" Man, I could have hugged Angie! :giggle:
I find the Indian tech support people to be way better that than the English speakers. If you can understand them. Sometimes it takes a few "can you repeat that slowly please" reboots to get things accomplished. I always laugh when they answer the phone and in an extremely strong Hindi (?) accent say something like "Good afternoon, my name is George, how may I be of excellent service to you today?" George, indeed!

This has reached epidemic proportions here in Florida. It's now against the law but it's extremely rare to see enforcement. More often than not, they will be driving side by side making impossible to get by them. It's a well known cause of road rage.

How about drivers texting while driving twice the speed limit ?

As Christopher Walken might ask " Miami , have you been ? "
