Firefox using a lot of memory the past 2 days

@hollydolly , do you not care for the Safari browser? I have not, in the past when I was using Apple machines. I've recently read somewhere that Safari now doesn't track your browsing.

I've got Safari.. but I don't like to use it... maybe I should learn to like it....

I am okay until I go to Facebook. For some reason this suddenly has started to kick up memory usage.

I don't have that in the drop down menu on my firefox... got Help, and got settings but no exit...goodness, I wish it had been that easy

Alt+F4 will close it (on a Windows system, not sure about MAC)

By default, Firefox is allowed to:
- collect technical and interaction data
- Install and run studies
- Send backlogged crash reports
You don't need any of these tasks using your system resources, you can uncheck them to prevent this sort of data collection.

My Firefox browser is version 115.15.0esr (64-bit)

I tried FF for 1 week. Then uninstalled it due to extremely poor performance.

I was using Chrome but it, as usual, allowed malware attacks.

So now I use DuckDuckGo and occasionally Edge.

No major problems using DDG.

Yours isn't the extended support version. I check for updates every day, but the extended support only updates about once a month.
