Flying the Flag for Memorial Day

been to any reserves lately?:magnify:

Why are you insistent on yet again raising the issue of inequities suffered by Canadian First Nation people? On the Canada Birthday thread, colonialism was brought to the fore. Although I thought it somewhat insensitive to raise such a subject at the

time, I courteously agreed with that point of view. (I can’t imagine posting about the American version of such conflicts on America’s Independence Day.) To be clear, my comment on this flag thread regarding not seeing any signs of conflict, referred solely to lack of problems with

provincial versus federal flags. To answer your pointed question, yes I have been to reserves, both as a guest and in my professional capacity. One of my colleagues is Quakiutl First Nation and we often work as a team. I am also fully cognizant of

Australia’s ongoing struggle with racism, the inhuman incarceration of refugees etc, yet I do not feel the need to peristently bring it to your attention. Have a pleasant day, Monsieur.

Don't forget that all 50 U.S. States and also U.S. Territories have their own flags as well.
Olivia, I'm sure Theodore Roosevelt didn't forget that we have many individual state identity flags...but those don't compare, on any level, to the magnitude and profound meaning of flying our Nations one united American flag, "Old Glory", which is the subject of this thread.

My point was that when you were comparing other countries with their numerous flags and saying that the U.S. has only one flag that U.S. citizens pay allegiance to, we do have other flags as well. Other countries mentioned do have their one country flag citizens pay allegiance to. If I mistakenly took your post as a criticism of other countries, then I apologize.
