I would cut off the corners and hem it straight across. Usually the dresses and tops are long enough to make that an option. As an aside, I'm glad you asked about style. Could someone explain how to feel good in longer, hankerchief edged tops, sweaters, dusters? Getting in and out of the car is a hazard, sitting down pulls at your torso, closing doors grabs at the hems....well, you see my dilemma? Not to mention they are going out of style, and what the heck do you do with them then??

I like that look @MarciKS for everyday. But I prefer jeggings, and tunics that just cover your behind, but not too much excess material.I like leggings with those long flowing tunics that cover your behind. I think they're cute.
I'm on the same page, Carol. I will be so happy when bras go to the same museum archive as the corsets that our mothers wore.My closet is filled with t-shirts. I love collecting them from wherever I go, or favorite movies/TV shows, animal prints, tie dye, you name it. I wear them daily, along with capri pants mostly. I'm into comfy! The closet in the other bedroom holds my "special occasion" clothes, which I put in plastic bags so they don't get dusty. Now, if I could just get rid of all the bras in my drawer, I'd be a happy camper.
jeans are no longer comfy for me so i don't buy them anymore.I like that look @MarciKS for everyday. But I prefer jeggings, and tunics that just cover your behind, but not too much excess material.
Me either. My go to pants in cooler weather is now knit pants with an elastic waistband.jeans are no longer comfy for me so i don't buy them anymore.
Agree! In 20 years they will look back at photos and see the shredding, knees hanging out, and their own kids will think they grew up poor instead of paying over $100 a pair to look like that. The one trend/style I wish would disappear forever is ripped jeans.
i had a pair.Agree! In 20 years they will look back at photos and see the shredding, knees hanging out, and their own kids will think they grew up poor instead of paying over $100 a pair to look like that.
We are kindred spirits! That is exactly what I do. I hate them too!
I wear what pleases me. I have a love of wool shirts in plaid, skinny pants, mock turtlenecks, anything khaki green, skinny jeans, and certain t-shirts, all cotton, bright colors. And camel and black together, but never black near my face. What is your opinion on the cute little backpacks over one shoulder? I like them a lot because I always thought "purses" were so "ole lady".
But, Now that I'm an "ole lady", are they something only the young should wear? Do you think they are "age inappropriate" for us?
I've been wearing leggings from, well, before they were popular and levies forever. What is your opinion of the "jogging pants"? (elastic ankles)
I'm not fond of the "fat pants" (as I call them) but the DO look comfortable. What are YOUR thoughts?
At our age, should we forget about fads and "styles" and just be comfortable? We arn't trying to impress anyone.
Or, is looking "cool" important to you? Do you have favorite clothes you wear over and over as you ignore the rest?
I went shopping with a friend the other day and the “new” Jean trend I saw was to cut off the hem on jeans. So as you wash them they fray. What this said to me was, the jean companies up cycling their old jeans they could not sell before. The one trend/style I wish would disappear forever is ripped jeans.
