Thank you for seeing your best friends to their end times and laying them to rest with respect
To date, I have laid seven horses to rest, countless dogs, and cats.
Many of the dogs and cats were not mine. Some I found injured on the road and took them to the vet. Some did not survive, but I brought them home anyway and gave them a respectful burial. I have three dogs, in my Pet Sematary, that belong to two neighbors who moved away and couldn’t take the dogs with them. I took them in because they viewed this as part of their territory and when their times came, they were peacefully laid to rest here.
My hope is you are able to see the last of your dogs to its end time, before it is your time.
My last horse is around 30 years old, his papers did not travel with him when he was gifted to me, so I’m not quite sure of his age. I will be 79 this year and my hope is that I have enough health to see this horse and my last two dogs to their end times.
