Women of the States that have banned abortion, here is another safe haven, you can go to, to exercise your rights to make your own decision about your body. France you must be the only country of the world that truly respects the rights of women!

It's a shame the way the world is going. There are plenty of adoption agencies that will gladly give these baby's a home instead of killing them before they are born and in some cases killing them at birth.
Back in my younger years, early 20's when my testosterone were raging my girlfriend became pregnant and she didn't tell me. She had an abortion without telling me. I found out from friends. We did go our separate ways later. To this day, and I'm in my 70's, when abortion is mentioned I still think of what kind of daughter / son we would have had. So this is not a woman's right only, I believe the man has his say in this also. I would have said No to the abortion and if we couldn't afford the new born we'd set up for adoption.

Well, you sound like a nice guy. But I don't think a man who rapes a woman should have a say.

That's true. The man should be punished in this case. The hard decision would then be put on the woman that was raped. Different situations call for different decisions. But for unprotected sex between consensual people and having abortions, that I'm not for. Have the baby and if you don't want it, give it up for adoption.

I'd like to tell you off; I'd like to explain how your words disgust me, but have made the decision you are not worth the angst.

Couldn't let your narcissistic post go unchallenged and unnoticed however; couldn't allow you to think, by the silence of others so far, that what you say, that a man can stop a woman with his "say" convinces me your opinion is tolerable. It's not. Let's leave it at that, especially given that it is International Woman's Day/Month.

Wouldn't try to change anyone's attitude at this point of my life. That doesn't mean I won't react. In this case with revulsion.

While you're busy setting up adoptions try giving birth. Oh that's right. You can't. Yet you believe you should have control anyway. You don't. Not yet. Sure you'd love to try, and the way things are going you might even get the chance.

It's up to the young women now to reclaim Sovereignty over themselves 'cause I ain't marching anymore.

Mercy sake, I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. Those are my thoughts in my post and what I believe in. What decisions we all make in life and what we believe in, we will all find out if they were the right ones after we draw our last breath here on this earth. Please calm down and have a nice day, life is too short. :)

About going to France, or any other civilized place that protects the right to abortion, that only works for women who can afford the trip. How much would it cost for someone in the U.S. to fly to France and back again? From what I've read, many people are poor enough to make it a real hardship to travel from one state to another, let alone to France.

Not that that is the main point here.

^^^Typical male wanting to place the entire responsibility of pregnancy on women, AFTER he's had his fun and IGNORED his responsibility to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Then he goes on spending a lifetime thinking if only the woman had carried to term then I, the male, wouldn't feel guilty about MY FAILING.
"Typical male"??? Maybe you need to read my post again. I did not ignore my responsibility. She got the abortion because she didn't want her parents to know she was pregnant. I didn't know either. I still did care for the baby even in my 20's. To this day she also regrets having the abortion. When we're young we all do stupid mistakes. We should have more wisdom as we get older. Enjoy your day. :)

Of course not. But as you see it depends on each case. If people are only too lazy to use contrazeptives and then choose abortion I don't agree.

Rape is less then 2% of cases yet is used for 90% reason for the argument/ discussion.
Both sides of issue use outliers in the discussion

A person shared their perspective from a first hand experience and some here jumped all over him..... that was not needed.

It is not only men....... who wonder what would unborn baby would be now...who would they have looked like etc....
I have known more than a few women who had deep regrets and mental health issues including alcohol issues they say leads back to this decision.

I hear some politician/ activist types compare it to a teeth cleaning and no big deal ..... Maybe for some not for all.
If people want a real discussion they need to see/ hear all the unintended consequences .............. and not tell people their feelings are invalid or wrong simply because YOU feel different.

yes, there are many reasons why a person may seek out an abortion but do not kid yourself That they are all rapes- incest and medical reasons... that simply is not true.
most rules made per state have made it that it needs to be done ASAP within example the first trimester or x amount of weeks . YET so many claim it was completely impossible also not true.
For those who think it is a teeth cleaning..... Are there any limits in your mind..... up til your due date maybe?

It is a woman choice to use birth control and more important know how your body works and how you become pregnant
i knew when i was pregnant very early on ..... but so many seem to believe these women can tell if they ate gluten or non organic produce BUT are completely unaware of a pregnancy until it was a late term situation. really ?

why would someone from the USA HAVE to fly to France to have an abortion is it illegal in the uSA?..genuinely ,... I don't know , is it ?... it's perfectly legal in the UK

It is legal and the whole thing is rules or limits vary by state.... some have restrictions on time ect. IF someone needs to travel to another state it would be insane to fly to France....
right...well I'm happy that's been cleared up because I thought I didn't hear anything about it being banned in the US..
