Hello everyone -I have kept a previous name (Zante) because some of you will know me by that - and I hope to quickly get to know others.

Welcome, Zante.

Although I am a Newbie myself, I must say how very friendly it is on this site.
I know you are just going to lurve this place....

;)

Hi Zante
Yes, new member I am myself, and being located in North Wales UK I find it lovely to pop in here and join the friendly people.
I was born in Liverpool though, and lived there until I was around 30, a couple of years ago! :playful::adoration: I wish!
It is lovely for me to be among so many nationalities, particularly American, and I feel rather honoured.
Take care, and have a lovely day.

Best regards

Kenny:D

Thank you for welcome mat - I know it is unbelievable - I'm Australian and I don't drink beer - would you care for a whiskey or a red?
I am a bit intimated by the fact that above where I am replying to this thread there is an add for cutting down on fat and getting a flat stomach - it's a bit late for me I'm afraid - I am happy with my rolls.

Welcome Zante-----First thing that comes to my mind when I hear Tasmania is Tasmanian Devil and then I think about the Tasmanian wine I had on a cruise ship going up the Malacca Straights. The wine by the way was not that good, but then I don't think Tasmania has a reputation of being world class when it comes to wine.

Welcome Zante...not sure where you've come from that others on here may already know you...but welcome anyway.. :D I used to have a pal who lived in devonport whereabouts are you?

Thanks for all welcomes - I am liking it here already - have weaved my way through settings and all that - have put Alice up (dog) avatar - Alice is the very best dog in the whole wide world (except for yours of course)
Hollydolly I live in Devonport/ great relaxing place to live.
Lon our poor Tasmanian is in a lot of trouble at the moment with a facial tumour disease that has the potential to wipe them out but with scientist working on it we hope they will be saved - seems to be plenty of them still around if you are in the right places and Tasmanian wines? Google them - you will find that Tasmanian wines have won lots of awards on the world scene but I reckon we keep the best for ourselves LOL! We are also making a mark on the world boozing scene with our whiskeys - yes I know - all the Scots on here are having the vapours at the thought!

Hi Zante
Welcome from a South Australian ,.....We spent a couple of weeks in Tassie in 2000 :) Does the ferry still berth in Devonport ?
We have friends in Whyalla S.A originally from Queenstown.

Oh that's a coincidence that you live in Devonport where my snail mail pal from 10 years ago lives too... :D BTW as a Scot just thought I'd mention ( pedantically lol) that we'd only get the vapours if it was Whisky...''whiskey' is Oirish... :D

Hollydolly Yes I have been aware of the different spelling and I have to admit just for the hAlf a dozen people on here LOL! That my favourite whiskey is an Irish one -= Tullamore Dew.

Kadee The Spirits of Tasmania still berth at Devonport East - One has just been tarted up to cater more for the day trip people' Looks nice though.

Lon that post up there somewhere should have said ....the poor Tasmanian Devil - I do hope you didn't think that the poor Tasmanian was in danger of extinction!

Hello. Nice dog

Alice is seventeen, had two strokes earlier this year but still goes for a short morning walk...slowly...she has two speeds: slow and stop! But she still wants to go and enjoys it - she still pees and poos and sniffs - sleeps most of the rest of the time. She takes her medication every night along with us - her human mum and dad. We all take it a day at a time.
