Here's wishing you another restful day. :)

Not had Rocco as much this week as it's half term (mum is a teacher) but she's got a dental appointment this morning so I'm looking after him. He's now snuggled up to his favourite toy, the octopus.

Let's just say that today was something I got thru but not easily or peacefully.🙄😐🫢
I intended to go on just one short but important errand in the car, but never did. Fortunately it wasn't a must.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better than today.

I could use a little more consistency, and I'm sure you can all guess, in which direction.

Well, we all agree which is the cuter of the 2, but that octopus comes in a close second. :sneaky:

Rocco is so cute, he puts a smile on my face every time you share a photo, and this is such a sweet one of the 2 together.

Tomorrow's plan is to take dh to his hopefully brief, low-stress medical appointment, and then to do today's short errand on the way home from there.
Well, it's actually farther away, but in the same direction so that's definitely something in its favor.

I think I might also consider wearing a disguise, in case the next incident occurs in our own apartment parking lot, (and parking space) where the onlookers are likely to recognize me without one.

No, they might know it's not a rental car, so that probably wouldn't work.

A good disguise might not work for picking up our prescriptions at the pharmacy drive-thru either. Oh well.

Gosh, what a day it's been!
The medical appointment went quickly and well, this morning.

However, we then made a stop on the way home, and oh no!
DH slipped on a bit of ice, making it into a long stressful day at the hospital E.R. after that. 😮‍💨😔😵‍💫

Thankfully he is okay, but we spent several hours there, and he's very sore, etc.... and I too am extremely poor....

Glad he is okay enough to return home with me tonight.
 
Hey Kaila and everyone! First of all, I'm sorry this graphic is so big, but I wanted to share it and don't know how to make it smaller. Secondly... I'm so sorry to hear your husband fell on the ice yesterday, Kaila! I've done that, and he's going to be all kinds of sore today, but I'm so glad he was able to come home with you. Hoping for a peaceful Saturday for both of you!

Oh NO Kaila.. not another day in the hospital, that's the last thing both of you need... ..thank goodness he's not done any lasting damage... but I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly... 😟

How awful about your husband's fall. I'm glad he wasn't seriously injured but a day spent in the E.R. is hardly the kind of day on a beach that we've all been picturing.

I read this and it pushed the buttons to my way-back machine:

When my kids were little they accompanied me virtually everywhere, grocery and other required shopping included. Three kids in two years (a single and set of twins) did not always make for peaceful outings.

On days when the squabbling rose to the level of being a public spectacle, I'd look at them sternly and say in a loud voice, "When we get back, I'm going to tell your mother how badly you've been behaving."

Of course, they'd be surprised and distracted from their squabbles as they loudly claimed I was their mother. I'd say things like, "You WISH! - No way anyone's pinning you three on me!" They'd laugh and insist I was while I'd swear I wasn't. And so it would go until we got out of the store.

I haven't thought of this in many, many years. Thanks for tickling that lovely little memory. ❤️ :love: ❤️

I hope today goes better for you and that your DH isn't suffering too badly.
 
Challenging day here so far today,
But I'm managing the bare essentials.

I thank each one of you for your wonderful posts for me.

Neither of us have recovered from yesterday's ordeal, yet , of course.

It took hours to get results of head scan, but clear on that. Hurt his hip but xray said he did not break it.
Broke a finger.

Neither of us are walking great since then. 🙄

And some extreme high stress action at the ER, yesterday. They had a Very scary incident. I protected dear huz.😮‍💨

Now, he is napping soundly but I had to eat and put fish into the freezer to preserve it.

And I had to get a script from drive thru pharmacy. Very close by.

DH dropped and broke something today, that he loves. It's a tough time, but we're both still here.
I'm thankful for that.
And for the caring and kind support from all of you. I can't say it enough.

Sorry that life has been so stressful. Thank goodness that DH didn't suffer any lasting damage. Your day sounds like one of those where you wish you had stayed in bed!

I met up with a couple of friends earlier today and we had a glass of wine and a natter. When it was time to go, I stood up, didn't notice the leg of the table in my way and kind of stumbled, ever so slightly, to one side. Of course, they all thought I was tipsy but, I guess that's better than admitting that I was just careless! It's so easy to trip though.

I hope you get some restful days and both feel better very soon. :)
