Gentle posts for gentle folks

Last night I made a yummy pasta dish. Who was I talking with about artichoke hearts? My dish had chick peas in my sauce and plain artichoke hearts on top, of course grated cheese.
We were discussing me using marinated artichokes in my mushroom risotto. I didn’t test them in that, instead used them in a chicken dish. I have 2/3 of a Costco-size jar left to use. I’m always open to more recipes if you want to share your pasta dish.

That'd right Jules, it was you. :) How was your chicken dish?

It's nothing more than a garlicy, basily tomato sauce cooked w/ drained chick-peas; topped w/ drained artichoke hearts,,, that's all.

Sounds delicious to me.
I'm curious; Do the brands of jar of marinated artichokes, taste as good as each other, or is one above the other in any way?

The recipe was from allrecipes and even using all the suggested changes, it wasn’t my favourite. The artichokes were good and I made sure that I put lots on my plate.

Kaila, I don’t know one brand from the next. I usually just stick with the Costco brand. It’s less expensive for me that way. I used to make a dip and everyone raved about it. Calories always taste great.

Thank you for that reply, Jules. 🙂

Your wordings also struck me as humorous, which I need the laugh, this evening, so thanks for that as well!😄🥰

We don't have any Costco here, so I'm not sure it would be cheaper for me to drive there just for a jar of artichoke hearts. 🤣

It wasn't a great recipe so you put more artichoke hearts on your plate. 😊

Calories always taste great. 😂🤩🥰🤗

Hello friends.
I had a rough day, today, but found some relief when @Jules post above, made me laugh.

Sometimes it's the small things....🙂

... that help us to hold on through the rough patches.

Kindness or humor, or simply friendly banter... has potential to do more than we'd guess or realize.

A drop of hope can mean a lot.

I'm glad I decided to start this diary.

(2 months ago, I did that, with gentle encouragement from many of you.)

@Kaila, sorry yesterday was not a good day for you. You're probably snowed/iced in this morning. I think ours finally stopped. Haven't even looked at the weather channel yet.

I hope today is better for you, remember we're always thinking of you, so you're not really alone with it all. 🫂

Let's go to Pago Pago, the capitol of American Samoa....

We'll sip umbrella cocktails and eat artichoke hearts.

Good morning, everyone.
🌄

I'm trying to recover myself, this morning, mostly by trying to focus on small routines and simple, doable actions.

Going step by step, instead of looking at any bigger picture, or even the next few days.

Reading each one of your caring posts above 📫
Means a lot to me, today.

Thank you, so much, RadishRose. 🌹
You brought tears of gratitude to my eyes when I read what you wrote, ✨️ about my not really being alone with it all.
It can feel that way, sometimes.
Sending some🫂🫂🫂🫂back to you, and for others here.

Then you got a laugh out of me, RR, when your imagery culminated with......artichoke hearts. 😁😆🤣
