Hey Pam hey how did you make out yesterday with your search for a new laptop I hope it was successful and you got one and prices are going to go up probably.About to catch the bus into town. I want to have a look at laptops and see if there's anything I like/get information etc. before I finally take the plunge and buy one. The one I have now plays up at times and my tablet isn't very good either so I should get something sorted before it's too late and they both pack up on me!
When I come back I will be following local news. Youngest son is on a charity walk. It's an annual event which started in 1966. The idea of walking from Keswick (in the Lake District) to Barrow originated in 1966 as a result of a statement made by the late U.S. President, John F Kennedy, that "every American should be capable of walking 50 miles a day". The original walk was around 50 miles but is now nearer to 40 as the starting point was moved due to congestion. History of the walk | Keswick to Barrow Walk
There is also a shorter walk from Coniston Lake to Barrow which is approximately 21 miles and that's the one my son is doing. He's done the longer one 3 times and the short one twice. I went on the walk around 1970/1. Once was enough for me.

Good for your son going on the walk That link you posted was interesting it seems that not only Kennedy had some influence on this walk but reading further it looks like what is it roosevelt wanted the US Marines to be able to walk 50 miles and then Bobby Kennedy completed the walk. And there was always something about Kennedy and vigor but with his Massachusetts accent he he pronounced it 'Vigah' and they came out with T shirts with vigah printed on them.
I'm sure you're proud of your son walking for charity! You did the walk too, good for you.

it's been very warm today... I only went out in the garden for a short time because my neighbours have erected a Marquee.. and their children are screaming at the top of their voices.... why do kids scream like this these days ?Hello again.
I managed to go outdoors for a short time, after I decided that was my primary goal for myself for today.
The rains and cloudy skies had cleared, so the sunshine appears warm but no, there is a cold breeze. Quite chillyafter all, but I was still glad to get out, briefly.
Indoors, I hand washed 1 top, to have a clean one, to wear to p.t., tomorrow.

it's temporary but it's likely going to be there for a long time..it;s a huge thing....That's one of those prevalent questions that, despite many adults wishing to know the answer, no one has yet discovered it.

I have an appointment with the stylist today and I'm going to ask her to take a couple inches off while styling it. It got too long two quickly after the last cut.
Yesterday, I received chocolates and flowers from son and husband, respectively and had a two-hour phone conversation with my other son, who lives in Florida.
This evening, my husband, son and I are going to get Taco Bell (junk food treat) and play cards. It's a continuing celebration of Mother's Day we were going to do yesterday, but I wasn't feeling up for it and my son was very tired early.

We had a very large tent in our yard for a while, for storage, but eventually took it down. We ordered the kind without the screaming kids.it looks like this
